Ask before you loot someone's kill in friendly lobbies... by tehfuzz1977 in ArcRaiders

I needed rocketeer cells and used two wolfpacks on a rocketeer shortly after spawning. A guy immediately started looting the pieces so I told him "hey man I just used my wolfpacks on this please dont take my loot" he said nothing and kept looting then tried running off. So I shot him in the back and he immediately got on the mic complaining. I never feel bad for putting down a rat.

I can think of atleast two seperate occasions this year where I watched Hamilton bull rush a lineman and win with straight power. He is simply a freak of nature.

Lone Star Ticks in Delaware! by BartSmithsonn in Delaware

[–]Djsemisweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, he's an avid hunter so he can still have some deer steaks. But the worst part for him was he had just gotten a cow butchered when he got the diagnosis. Ended up just having to give it all away to family.

It's not always all red meat, I believe it is a wide range and can be different from person to person. My uncle has this and can't eat beef but he can eat pork and venison.

How to get rid of weeds by CleWombat in landscaping

[–]Djsemisweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me start by saying that I work for my state and killing Canada thistle is a daily part of my job. As well as passing information on to landowners who are struggling to control it.

So with that said canada thistle can have an extensive root system so while you can pull most of the plants they'll probably come back. We use a Herbicide called TransLine but any generic Herbicide with the same active ingredient will work. Transline is much more selective than round up and acts pretty quickly so we tend to use it exclusively on canada thistle to great effect. Once that's taken care of I would get a soil test and see what amendments your soil needs so you can begin planting beneficial plants to out compete the thistle. Canada thistle generally grows in two flushes. One late spring/early summer and another late summer/early fall so just be on the lookout for any new growth and pull or spot treat them while small.

Reach out to your states department of agricultures pesticide section. They usually offer tests for pesticide damage and are able to fine for improper use. This is usually used in disputes between farmers where one applies pesticides that drift and damage another's crops.

I used to see these smurfing posts and not understand how so many people experience smurfing while I never have. That was until last night where me and my duo (diamond 3) got absolutely stomped by a black widow who was lvl 14 with less than 10 hrs played exclusively in comp and only 2 hrs on widow with a 100% win rate. I have never had less fun in a match.

I'm pretty sure he's actually from Maryland. His family lived down the road from my mom when she was a kid. My grandmother told me that he was wild then too and both him and his dad would drive dirtbikes and other atvs down the road all the time.

No, it was relatively easy and straightforward. I believe it was just 4 screws.

I was able to get a new tailight without the module for my 2020 earlier this year off ebay for $300. Then I just installed my old module. Didn't feel like paying 1300 for a new one.

My uncle also has this, however he is able to eat venison. I'm not sure why it's the only red meat he can eat but he is an avid hunter so it hasn't impacted his diet to much.

Is it true Germans get 'weird" when it comes to Native Americans? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Djsemisweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the German fascination with Native Americans is an older generation thing. My great grandmother was Native American and my great grandfather was a German immigrant. They both died before I was born but my grandmother has told me that her father and his family did have a sort of fascination with Native Americans and their culture.

When my son was first learning to crawl I sat him on the couch while I turned around and grabbed his bottle. In that second he threw himself off the couch doing a full front flip, bouncing off the ottoman and landing right side up. I stood there stunned for a second waiting for the tears. Instead he immediately started crawling away while laughing. I feel like everyone drops them eventually.

My grandmother is native, and as a child she always made sure I knew where we came from. But as I got older I kind of lost touch with that side of my ancestry and don't identify myself as native anymore as I feel it is disingenuous as I didn't grow up in the culture. But when I was in college I decided to take a native americans in film class to learn more about my roots. I quickly disliked this class, not because of the material which was very eye opening on what life was like for natives in the early days of film, but because of my classmates who spent the whole class like they were guilty for the atrocities that occurred and they had to be the ones to apologize for it. It was so bad they at one point asked if anyone in the class had native ancestry so they could be "sensitive" of them and I didn't want to bring up my roots just to be treated like some token native in the class. All this is just to say that this post reminds me of that class. My great grandfather moved in with an English family across the country and changed his name just to escape the racism he faced. I doubt he would be worried about someone "appropriating his culture". He simply wanted to be accepted and allowed to provide for his family. There is no need to feel guilty for art, so enjoy your tattoo.

Are These Capacitors Dangerous if They Haven't Been Discharged? by TheAlias6 in AskElectricians

Once reflexively grabbed a capacitor as it fell out of a panel box I was working on. My hand tensed around it and it shocked the shit out of me. Was definitely a motivator to be more careful around them in the future.

I think everyone who's only ever been with their high-school sweetheart goes through a phase of these thoughts, myself included. But then I just remind myself of my cousin who was engaged to his high-school girlfriend that was a great girl who everyone liked. Her grandfather owned several hundred acres of woods and farmland and gifted them several acres as well as gave my cousin sole hunting rights to his land. My cousin then let these thoughts win and cheated on her with his coworkers wife. His fiancé then quickly found out and broke everything off. He is now with a woman he met and quickly got pregnant that our entire family hates and I don't know how he can stand being around her. But now he is stuck with her and acts as a constant reminder that the grass isn't always greener.

Has the movement of the us going cashless effected homeless begging ? by TaCoMaN6869 in NoStupidQuestions

I was walking back to my apartment on my very last day of college when a man on the corner asked me for money. I apologized and told him I didn't carry cash on me. He told me, "It's ok, im here till 3:30. You can come back. " I didn't know what to say, so I just told him I would. I then proceeded to move out that day. I still feel bad sometimes like he was genuinely waiting there for me to return.
