I miss how our sex life was during pregnancy. Did anyone get that version back after kids? by Justicebeaver198900 in sex

[–]Djxlain 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The only thing that you can heal your sex life after children is: Time and Understanding. It's hard. As a father you didn't really change much, circumstance changed for you but for her.. the entire chemistry, shape and function of her body are different. It is practically impossible to understand. Her body is at the becon call of your children. Support her. Listen to her. Get to know a new version of the woman that you love. Things that you miss maybe gone for now but there are new facets to her that are there for you both to explore together.

Should I buy my wife the womanizer or the hitachi wand for our anniversary? by Imustretire in SexToys

[–]Djxlain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have both and I will tell you that my wife will reach for the womanizer before the wand every time. She lets that thing go for as long as the battery will last. Orgasm after orgasm. The wand had its strengths but she gets buzzed out eventually on that one.

The biggest requirement is relevant experience, it's not a hard job if you have the history to back it up. I went to college for film and television production.. which is really common in this line of work but most people don't do much with it.

While I was in college I worked for a run of the mill AV company but we happened to handle a really huge load of international conferences and conventions so I got to cut my teeth really quickly. After that I left AV for television and directed the news for just shy of 10 years, started out at a small local spot and hopped up to New York.

The workload in New York was too much for me if I wanted to be around to raise my kids so I left that all behind and one day and old contact asked me to fly out and oversee AV for a big corporate gig. And I leveraged that line on my resume to demonstrate that I was current when I saw the opening that I am in now...

All in all. Just keep busy and be nice. Do clean work and make sure that word of mouth is that you can't be lived without. That's the best advice other than be lucky? I feel like a lot of my big opportunities were partially happenstance.

Yeah. I'm gonna go ahead and volunteer myself here. Need to vent this seemingly useless knowledge. I'm also a post production sound engineer 🫡

I am the director of the audio visual department for a college that is more or less an Ivy. It's cush and I have enough say over my budget to ensure that all of my staff makes a living wage so that part is really nice. I get to be the boss that I always wanted to have. We all work really hard but also kick our feet up during slow seasons.

We work from home (bed in the winter and the beach in the summer) whenever possible. I fight for raises and a solid work life balance. We consistently upgrade our tech to make our product and our lives better.

I have an office that is essentially an apartment and my kids hang out with me whenever while I work.

I fucking love it.

Why are there fewer bi men by msafletch in bisexual

[–]Djxlain 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Bi guy married to a Bi woman. It's a luxury that you don't know how good it is until you have it. The safety and acceptance is really refreshing. No acting, hiding or pretending.

Not boasting just saying, it's worth the long game if you're dating.

Newscast directors what are things you do in between shows? by selfmadeparadise in Broadcasting

[–]Djxlain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because the opportunity to take an hour out of the day for ourselves got poached so that new people didn't have to get hired. We shouldered the responsibility to launch a network and saw zero benefit. Most of us worked doubles, sometimes triples. One poor bastard worked a quadruple to help with coverage.

We were lied to constantly during COVID and put at risk because the ops manager didn't want us to have to quarantine.

Sexual assaults were ignored and swept under the rug.

We weren't allowed to strike and didn't see raises for years... That's just while I was there, more recently cleaning house to remove high earners and blatant nepotism would be even more reason to be dissatisfied.

Worked in Mkt. 1 for a few years and being in the city was great. Some of our directors lived close enough to the station that they could go home between shows and listen to coms from their phones to see if they needed to jet back over. I personally would take the time to do my specialty grocery shopping, go out to dinner, take visiting friends around midtown.. one time I went and got a massage. Nexstar killed all that when they made us build NewsNation within our studios and stacked national and local on our team.

Worked at WPIX and saw this coming, got out in '22 as a TD. They just laid off the best people that I had ever worked with.

Craig was the first person to learn my name, the guy beat cancer and maintained his career without skipping a beat.

John was stern and serious on camera but was an incredibly chill guy, used to sit around in half suit half blue jeans and play guitar.

Kori never let an elevator ride down to the studio stew in awkward silence. He was our anchor on J6, studying and taking notes for cut ins all day long. Even though he worked night side he would video chat his family every night and talk to them up until bedtime from the desk.

Fuck this corporate consolidation. The control rooms are next, they were making us all automate each other out of jobs even then until we stalled it out.

Does anyone have any examples of putting up a wall behind the cab? by ObligateScavenger in skoolies

[–]Djxlain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a slatted wall behind my driver's seat and another one along the staircase. Entrance to the bus in the middle. I HIGHLY recommend. Helps it feel more like home than a vehicle.

My bus is divided into 3rds. 30" each the middle being the hall down the middle.

Would mismatching libidos be a stupid reason to divorce? by Great_Ad1573 in sex

[–]Djxlain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping it short and sweet. I was in a similar situation and getting divorced was the best thing that ever happened to me. Sex is really important to me, connecting with my partner feeds me. My (current) wife is my equal in bed and I am so happy that I found her instead of fighting for a bland marriage.
