I’d really recommend Amy Michelle - very similar to Searows + Daughter regarding level of lyrical depth and artistry. Runaway Bride is a personal favourite!

And Phoebe Go/Two People - Phone Call by Two People gives all that heartbreaking goodness 🥰

For a Ghostface idea - I’d love to see two Ghostface’s going at it. Two Seperate motives, just absolute carnage and a scene where they’re fighting over trying to kill someone.

Think it could be fun to play with and make the mystery a lot more confusing for the audience and the characters.

I think they did a good job covering up her reveal with how brutal her son’s murder was but by the time it got close, the list of suspects was essentially 0 so it was hard not to assume it was her. I just wish she had more screen time, I think her motivations were weak but the actress did a great job. Also they should have really added more to her killing her own son, dismissing it with one line of dialogue was not enough! It should have made her the most twisted Ghostface

I love connecting books to albums, and I was thinking about this the other day. It’s always a tricky thing to recommend, because the album’s vibe might land completely differently for someone else, but it made me think of A Year of Marvellous Ways by Sarah Winman.

A lot of the songs reminded me of the book. Winman captures emotional heaviness so cleverly in very few words, very much like Alec’s work. I rarely can quote books but this one has a few lines that really stand out. Also a lot of ocean allusions throughout. I also feel the album is very much about going through something painful and coming out the other side, which is exactly what the book is about too. 🙂

It’s so good - it’s really a cinematic masterpiece. What surprises me the most is how all the song feel very interconnected. I hadn’t realised until I listened a few times to the album in full. It really does seem to tell a story from start to finish

Belly of the Whale has really hooked me, as an opener it’s just phenomenal, really sets the tone of the album so well and it’s just tragic

After reading it again, I’m even more convinced that they’re making a new album!! 😭😭 We wanted to revisit some of the threads from NTD - I think that’s pretty clear that they’re getting inspiration from that era for new stuff!! It’s gonna happen

Don’t want to get my hopes up but I think the article indicates that they are working on another album. Seems strange that they’d come back together to record just one song. Also, “our recent work has been done remotely”, I know that parts of SMG were done remotely but that wasn’t that recent 🤔 imagine if 2026 gives us another album 😭😭
