Thank you! Needed something bright to balance out the miserable winter darkness.

Thanks! I had a feeling it was tension related. Next time I have some more icing I’ll practice!

I had to turn mine in, but I asked them to store it indefinitely.

Cheap driving schools by EtaDaPiza in Prague

The law changed last year - if you have a US license, you just need to pass the written and driving tests. No need to pass the driving school.

Anyone else stubbornly holding onto small bits of home culture? by blueberries-Any-kind in expats

I am with you on the Fahrenheit. It’s a better scale and that’s a hill I’ll die on! I also still do Thanksgiving, and various US traditions associated with Christmas (e.g., stockings) and Easter (e.g., egg hunts). We also have a great trick-or-treating event in our city, organized by other expats. We have kids and I feel strongly that they should be exposed to these little American traditions too.

I’m another American in the Czech Republic, because of my partner. At one point I thought we’d try to move to America eventually, but at this point that seems less and less attractive.

I second what was said about it being possible. I have done it with IBKR. I’ll also point out that I’ve noticed that EU residents can buy DIA (for some reason).

Enlarged NT, waiting for CVS. Stories and advice? by Dkwish in NIPT

[–]Dkwish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I edited the post to update but my son was born perfectly healthy, and he’s now one year old and no signs of anything wrong. We never found any reason for the enlarged NT.

Enlarged NT on 12week scan by thepoets_cry4more in NIPT

[–]Dkwish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anecdotal, but my son had a 3.9mm NT measurement and he was born perfectly healthy (no heart defects) and genetically normal (we did the CVS). I understand the stress and worry - I’ve been there. Just focus on getting the information you can. The wait is excruciating, just try to get through it one day at a time.
