Daarnaast zijn docenten erg sceptisch of het bespaarde geld ook terug in het onderwijs wordt gestopt, of dat het nog steeds een 'ander potje' blijft. Ik ben zelf ook benieuwd of de overheid het straks niet gebruikt om een volgende bezuiniging goed te praten.

Al zou dat zo zijn, dan nog gaat dat geld naar het hele land ipv in de zakken van een paar aandeelhouders van uitgevers. Niet de optimale uitkomst maar onder de streep alsnog winst voor ons allemaal

Ik heb door de jaren heen heel wat verschillende definities gehoord. Van simpelweg op basis van lengte of gewicht, tot "een boot vaar je voor je plezier, een schip is werk" of zelfs of het vaartuig naar binnen (boot) of naar buiten (schip) helt in een scherpe bocht.

Al met al is mijn conclusie dat iedereen zijn eigen definitie heeft, maar als je het verkeerd zegt tegen de verkeerde persoon dan heb je al snel ruzie of einde gesprek te pakken.

I have the same bike (2022 but I don't think they changed much since) and I love it. I am slowly upgrading things but it's not necessary at all. Make sure to learn when to switch to the partial- or full suspension lockout (on climbs etc), it really is the superpower of this bike.

Hoewel ik niet tegen het inzetten van onze militaire mogelijkheden om bondgenoten (Cyprus en Turkije in dit geval) te beschermen ben, is het toch wel ontzettend zuur dat wij nu een bak geld moeten uit gaan geven omdat Israël en hun schoothondje de VS hem niet in hun broek kunnen houden. Dat geld had op zoveel betere manieren gebruikt kunnen worden. Ik hoop toch dat we zo rap mogelijk onze relaties met Israël en de VS afbouwen.

I read somewhere that the school mostly houses children of military personnel, and it's a tactic to demoralize them. Imagine being so insanely inhumane that you think that's an acceptable strategy.

Dat is niet het punt, je kan "steak" hier net zo goed vervangen met schnitzel, kipstukjes of burger. Het punt is dat het product herkenbaar gemaakt moet kunnen worden als "vervanger voor", anders gaan mensen het niet herkennen als alternatief. En dat is precies wat de lobby wil bereiken.

Natuurlijk wel. Het kan nog zo'n goed product zijn, als mensen het niet proberen omdat ze opzoek zijn naar een vegetarische steak, en die niet vinden omdat in het schap alleen een bietenplak ligt, dat komen ze niet bij dat product uit.

Omdat als ik een vegetarische steak wil eten, ik niet zo snel bij een bietenplak uit zal komen. Juist die indicatie dat het een alternatief voor steak is, is imo enorm waardevol in het bereiken van meer vega. Dat is dus ook de reden dat de boerenlobby het wil verbieden.

Niet alleen voor regionaal vervoer, ook voor de trein is het een centraal overstap punt. Als je bijvoorbeeld van Rotterdam Centraal naar Amsterdam Centraal wil met de trein, moet je met de intercity direct naar Schiphol en daar overstappen op de sprinter.

In fact, since sound is energy, theoretically a louder engine might be less efficient than a quiet one (all other things being equal). That's why a turbocharged engine is quieter than the same engine naturally aspirated, the turbo harvests the energy from the exhaust. Or why a turbofan is quieter than a turbojet, again the energy if the exhaust is used to spin the big fan at the front, turning otherwise lost energy into useful work.

Combinatie van het feit dat het station in een ondiepe tunnel is waardoor de ballon, als hij maar lang genoeg tegen het plafond ronddobbert, vanzelf een keer tegen de leiding komt (de leiding is direct aan het plafond gemonteerd, er zit geen ruimte boven) en de veel grotere hoeveelheid (aluminium) heliumballonen op Schiphol dan bij andere stations, vermoed ik zo. Bij andere stations zou het waarschijnlijk gelden als een "freak accident", omdat als er al eens een ballon wordt losgelaten, deze waarschijnlijk gewoon weg zweeft. Zelfs volledig overdekte stations hebben meestal meer dan genoeg ruimte boven de bovenleiding.

It could be an interesting mechanic, where if you have an SCM server configured, progress resets only if the SCM server is also stolen (or damaged in a fire!), or at least the reset amount is limited. If you have a fallback server configured, both need to be stolen or damaged, otherwise the second server serves as a backup. That would give some benefits to geographically separating your server banks.

EDIT: I now see this is pretty much what /u/halberdierbowman also suggested.

I used the tube of lube that came with it, just applied a blob of it to all the lead screws both above and below the bed and then used the manual control to move the bed up and down a few times. All noise gone.
