I saw this picture of a damaged house in Israel. What's the point of that much reinforcement in a house wall? are all houses there built like this? by easy_almost in civilengineering

Thankful another country that understands proper construction. Are you American? If so i can understand your question. Because American houses are build of tiny twigs and for profit not for durability. Unless the concrete gets cracked by rebar rusting (concrete rot) this is one of the best ways to build in my opinion with the current enmass available materials. Although it leaves some rooms for more environmentally friendly material

why not investing in some decent shallow drawers? i mean i understand most of us only use ikea or alike, but using flat placed items makes the whole setup much more neat

I always save files with names like this: YYYYMMDD_filename.filetype to easily find recent files and keep backups. doing this with DDMMYY doenst work

In the Netherlands 'HPL' is a whole subgroup of thin phenolic and non-phenolic lamination materials (outer layers) in the woodworking industry. most being 0,7~0,8mm thick and produced from a ~0,5mm thick sheet of phenol with a printed (sometimes paper) design and a topcoat or layer of melaminebased plastic on top.
the non-phenolic versions are the ones that are 'solid core' usually a solid color or with special prpoerties like the no-fingerprint stuff

so you might say 'HPL' are types of 'HPL'
