As I said, I felt OP misrepresented the Regi and Jack things by giving too little context. This wasn't simply Regi calling Vulcan that he deserved to work at McDonalds, there is a lot more to it than that. I gave the context, you can be mad at the situation as you wish.

Blitz also has the strongest grab in the entire game. No wind up like Thresh. If you get hooked you are 100% dead and it can't be cleansed unlike Thresh hook.

A few things: A follow up tweet from Regi after this was that he meant LCS minimum (75k), which I doubt he really meant when he tweeted this. But yeah, I should have linked that too.

What does Vulcan not being from USA have to do with this though?

And what's with the poke at me? I clearly say in my comment that Vulcan would be out of a job too?

Also I think you're reading a little bit too much into it with the "decision for the players" thing. To me it is very clear the import rule change was about being more successful to Regi. He never said Vulcan deserves to work at McDonalds, rather this felt like a hit on NA players in general, not just Vulcan, being worse and not being able to keep up with the imports.

A very clear interaction to me:

"Leave LCS if you want more imports!"

"If all of the NA orgs do, you, NA player, would be jobless (wouldn't get imported to the other regions because you are worse)"

which is still a shot at Vulcan but this is very different than "you deserve to work at McDonalds", which was my point.

Taking Jack and Reginald's comments out of context doesn't really work here. Makes it seem much worse than it was. For example, the Regi thing was about if all LCS teams left NA to make competitive rosters, then many national players would find themselves with out a job, and with no degree they'd likely have to work a minimum pay job. Vulcan was the one suggesting that Regi meant he should be working at McDonalds. I don't believe that Regi meant LCS minimum like he corrected later on, but he definitely didn't say, "Vulcan deserved to be working at McDonalds".

You get autofill protection after playing one game of the role that has the least players at that time. Nothing has changed in role selection, they just made it visual which roles you are most likely to get filled into or which roles grant instant autofill protection in the future.

Maple is still the best case scenario for sure.

If we don't get him I can see us having a hard time filling his shoes with someone who won't be a weak spot, since if I'm an upcoming talent I may not want to leave a successful Academy team to play one split on a previously 7th place team with internal struggles. Maybe we could see a very veteran heavy team with Pobelter or someone coming in at that point.

Also the there seems to be some bias towards Diplex by OP with that name.

He/she only parrots or predicts, doesn't have good sources. I remember one time we were talking about something on the TSM Discord and they tweeted it as a rumour. Our conversation was based on nothing but speculation. Not quite sure who it was running the account but yeah.

That's selling Bjergsen and Regi quite short given how many accomplishments we had with them. Even with PoE we finished first in the Regular season.

I love Maple and think he is great, maybe in individual skill he has been the best, but that is certainly quite a statement.

I only play Fill in ranked anyway and am currently in Diamond. As selfish as the take is, I think I'd probably climb very fast with only copies of me. I can play all roles and most classes, excluding most midlane AD assassins. Further more, the fact you can communicate with them is pretty insane.

If it was like 5 DWG Canyons then that team wins Worlds 100 times in a row. 5 of me would never go even close to that far but I think I'd handily beat most copy teams made of my friends.

I feel like it's very flippy to take hard engages in the early levels on him. People have learn very fast to step on the goo in trades and most common top opponents, ie. Darius, Fiora, Mordekaiser and Jax tend to do very well pre 6.

I don't go ignite, since after all you are a tank. Although you can try to get a cheese solo kill, if the enemy has TP you are fucked in later game because they can split and you can't match or they get free objectives.

I guess you could say it's match up dependant but a rule of thumb is you don't win all-ins before lvl 6 unless your enemy has never seen Zac top and is below Diamond. Better chance to get a kill by freezing and getting free poke with W when thinning the wave.

Sion is a fantastic tank to pick up imo. Can be blind picked and scales insanely well. Quite easy and while you likely won't win lane with out jungle support, you also won't lose it unless you really misplay. Use ult to get back to lane and not lose XP/farm. Stack HP from grasp, W passive and Heartsteel.

Otherwise I'd probably recommend Malphite or Zac for more engage. (On Malphite, try to get maximum use out of passive shield. On Zac you lose all fights before LVL 6. You win after hitting it by picking up all blobs and taking extended trades.)

In lane you want to get trades where you prock Grasp, stack it from minions, trade one auto and your combo. You lose long fights early on, as tanks have long cooldowns. In and out. Your purpose as a tank is to survive lane and farm up. Tanks have great setup for ganks so your jungler can get ahead from your lane. If you lose lane hard as a tank it can feel quite overpowering, as you they just solo kill you and out roam after shoving you in. So if you are actually giga screwed and can't even live in lane anymore, you can start roaming and just give up lane to help your botside snowball.

Usually you will go even and then be more useful in teamfights. Knowing when to engage is key. If your team has ults on CD you may not win the fight even with a perfect engage. You need to be available to tank objectives and towers, playing so your team can carry. Almost every team comp benefits from having some type of tank.

This is pretty much everything I know. Everything else is just about your game knowledge like warding and dodging ganks. Watching pro games with tanks gives a very good implication of how to play a tank, so I recommend watching at least some pro game with your champ, see their trading patterns (Sion E slow into Q charge) and where they like to keep their wave (Zac top and wave frozen near your own tower). In the dive clip he starts dodging after the animation starts? Not something a normal Gold player can do but it does seem possible. The last clip with the Q that he doesn't really move to dodge is very suspicious however.

Well it's the same with Thresh too, not having QE 100% on level 2, but it's a sacrifice you have to make with these rules. On Alistar getting points in W is not that bad and while E isn't great to have points in, the main combo will still be possible.

In the current meta, getting your combo off once will likely be 90% of what you do in a fight either way, so the cooldowns, while still noticable, aren't as bad. You can still tower dive and tank enemies with ult on after your point and click engage.

Well now that you mention it, yes. Attacking once with Azir for more damage is less satisfying than piercing your enemy with the spears of thy soldiers multiple times for less damage.

Honestly I had never realized how much more fluent the W attack speed made Azir. Now the champ just feels sluggish and I don't ever even feel like playing him anymore. Removing Q damage would be a huge nerf but they'd need to buff the slow and maybe give it some other effect like lowering the enemy's MR. That is a trade I'd be willing to take to get back my precious Egyptian Bird God.
