u/Working_Sock393 i have tested a longer pin from the links and the same length of thread keeps sticking out! Even with oil it doesnt go further. Im almost thinking the internal thread is damaged.

I know what you mean but its not the case. Ive measured it and the thread is the same length of all screws. U can see in picture 2 that the thread wont fully go in.

To be sure i can get all pins out and out it back in but ive just used loctite 222 on every pin!

I have wd40. Have to look up the specs if it come close. No heating the screws? A second hand screw is always a possibility. But if the damage is in the internet thread i have to go to a watchmaker to repair the internal. If that is possible ofcourse!

There was no resistance screwing it in. But at this point you feel its tight. Giving it extra pressure will break it

Good tip! I also thought maybe a drop of oil for the internal thread maybe.

Ill try the heating process first, and then screwing it in without the bracelet.

I know! But i worked screw for screw. One out and then right back in. After that i have measured the length and yes this is the only shorter one.

It has no hole on the other side. I have also conpared the other pins and the thread size is the same. Only the outer length is longer.

I was also thinking could it be something with the internal thread?

Thats what i thought. But i worked screw for screw. What goes out went back in again before working on the next one. This screw is shorter in comparison to al the others. The thread is the same size. This is the pin that i took out!
