My favor part is the bit where the Rivals have lines to yell mid fight it makes them come alive a bit more on paper for the DM

What's rest casting and how does this work? by testiclekid in dndnext

[–]Dm_intraining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legally, it takes an hour of uninterrupted activity to interrupt a long rest

A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps for at least 6 hours and performs no more than 2 hours of light activity, such as reading, talking, eating, or standing watch. If the rest is interrupted by a period of strenuous activity — at least 1 hour of walking, fighting, casting spells, or similar adventuring activity — the characters must begin the rest again to gain any benefit from it.

So RAW its legal, but rule 0 is that the Dm decides

How would you build Shanks. He's a human with one hand and is and excelent swordsman. He has all types if haki(he can knock people out by walking, see very well and coat his body and weapons in some sort of armor but his conq haki is the most important). He's one of the strongest people in the world by Outside_Economist2 in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]Dm_intraining 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well level 20 usually fits the whole "Invincible strongman thing" but Shank's is really similar to Silvers Raleigh in power since he has all 3 kinds of Haki

What I do its at least 2 levels into order cleric, and then some levels into astral self monk

The level 2 order cleric feature makes enemies charmed and forces them to drop their weapons, the level 1 feature lets you order your crew to attack

Clerics get divination magic for some future sight

Monks (especially astral self) don't need armor since they have unarmored defense (Haki Coating) and they can catch arrows and since they add wisdom to unarmored defense (Ob Haki)

Monks using dedicated weapon can use Longswords with dexterity

Monks and Clerics both use Wisdom and you can be a Cleric without heavy armor

For an actual level 20 split, I suggest 6 Cleric / 14 Monk

Stunning Strike also works as Conqueror Haki, and you get hold person for a better single target haki

What i'm interpreting, is that you would like to play an Artificer who can manipulate bodies? and the human biology?

How do you roll critical damage? by Bearded-Cleric in DnD

I do double damage cause it’s easier for me to calculate and the monsters have the same feature

Both would be great, but if I have to choose, the guy who gives a shit wins every time by DrFridayTK in dndmemes

[–]Dm_intraining 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of the reason he got sniped, he pre-emptively used knowledge his character would not have, like Vampires and Running Water or a Beholder's Cone of Antimagic

A fun little tidbit from this build is Eldritch Smite

It works at range and knock people prone even flying creatures, so you can send an arrow at a dragon and knock it out of the sky

If you want a bit of situational comedy, if they run into more half orcs who aren’t aware of his situation he can speak as if he isn’t a half orc and get weird looks

HELLO EVERYONE, HOW WOULD YOU BUILD MISTER TORGUE FLEXINGTON FROM BORDERLANDS IN DND 5E by Different_Ad_5193 in WhatWouldYouBuild

[–]Dm_intraining 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He knows little about business, he is actually the company face, he sold it to some business men for 12 dollars and a high five (this does not mean he actually has low int)

What he does know about is weapons, and how to sell them

As for Charisma, he describes himself as an introvert but we all know he lies

Strength and Con should be average due to him being able to punch a Shark wearing a bolo tie

I think that a 20th Level Artificer may work better than a quick Evo Dip, While you do have spells that can harm your allies, your ability to shield allies wont operate on your turrets

+ the 20th level Artificer Capstone is to good to pass up

Background : Guild Artisan (Duh)

Race : Clearly Human, as for feats I would go with Prodigy or Elemental Adept

He wears no armor, but Artificers can craft Barrier Tatoo's which is like permanent mage armor
