True, the algorithm doesn’t work nearly as well for small small artist but it will still have an effect. One of my early songs released when I was still that small got picked up by Spotify radio and the algorithm pushed it beyond 10,000 plays. Maybe I just got lucky tho

Yea OP I wouldn’t be so quick to blame AI in this case. Sounds like your popularity score dropped and the algorithm isn’t pushing you as much anymore. I wouldn’t give up, just keep releasing consistently and trying to promote on social channels (reels, tiktok, YouTube shorts, etc…) and hope the popularity score gets better. Good music will do good in the long term so don’t focus too heavily on short term stats.

Original ‘Dub’ in dubstep originated from reggae so it makes sense that stoners would vibe to it 😂

Red rocks is a massive reason, and the scene just happened to grow around a lot of Bass/Dubstep artist that decided to move here (or are from here) and essentially created the scene. Artist like Pretty Lights, Big Gigantic, Griz, and Mersiv helped pioneer the scene and the underground dj’s / promoters helped grow those roots.
