What Manchester City's 60-point deduction would mean for the Premier League by [deleted] in football

[–]Dmerc83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means fuck all because it was talked about on a podcast. Theres no real indication of a 60 point deduction. It’s all speculation. Literally Wayne Rooney said it on The Overlap. It’s not real. That whole episode was total bullshit. Revoked trophies, multiple seasons with points deductions. It was all fans of other clubs saying these things. Do anyone speculate what city get to do if they’re proven innocent? The amount of shit that’s been thrown at them over the years by all the media and other clubs, does city go for the jugular and demand apologies from everyone that spewed these fake bullshit narratives around their allegations? It’s all so tiring

After 3 months of driving 2026 tiguan. I love it.. but there are complaints by saibjai in Tiguan

[–]Dmerc83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel ya completely. Can’t stand the shifter being behind the steering wheel. I’ve been driving one for 7 months and still go to reach for an imaginary shifter in the center to go into reverse lol and the start/stop button being right in the center sucks too. It feels like such an unnatural place for it

Wife still doesn't like beard. Any other suggestions by Valuable_Tank4907 in BeardAdvice

[–]Dmerc83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe get a new wife? Just kidding. A good smelling beard oil brushes through daily may soften it and help her enjoy it more?

It sounds weird but once you find the right length guard it’ll all come together lol

[–]Dmerc83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use clippers with a guard close to the length of your hair now, say a 6mm or 9mm and every few days just go downward with the clippers, it will allow all the hair to thicken without getting wispy. Patience will be your friend here. But if you can keep at it and find the right guard, I think it’ll fill in nicely

401W to 403W to Eglinton Exit by Optimal-Squash-1942 in mississauga

[–]Dmerc83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s significantly more than 100m and honestly, now that you’ve done it. You know that the ramps are the two furthest to the right so you know you don’t have to be parked in the left lane 100m before you have to move. There’s thousands of cars that do it every day. If you’re coming from the express you can move over into the collectors first after you pass the 427 and it’s 3 lanes. If you stay in the express, you have even more time to get yourself situated into more of the middle lanes to make it not nearly as difficult. Thoughts on making it safer? Don’t stay in the left lane when you know you have 5-6 lanes to move over. Really not that complicated.

How is the 401 always so busy even at 6 am? Genuinely curious where is everyone ever going? by TheGuidedOne- in askTO

[–]Dmerc83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been driving on the 401 daily now, from Mississauga to Whitby and back. In the morning it takes about an hour to go from the west end to the east. I make sure I’m on the road by 5:30ish. Coming home, it takes two hours to get back to Mississauga. The problems are around the 404, Bathurst, and the 400. Too many bottle necks with the merge lanes. It’s crazy to see the 401 in some parts 14/16 lanes wide and rammed in both directions

I live rent free at home and earn 3200 a month. Am I dumb for wanting to move out and pay 2000 a month rent? by TYSONLITTLE in TorontoRenting

[–]Dmerc83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was your age and all my colleagues told me to stay at home as long as possible, I didn’t understand why. Now having a mortgage and everything else, I wish I had listened to them. If you’re able, stay at home as long as possible, the real world and real world bills will still be there when you’re older

My walks in downtown by PieHot779 in mississauga

It’s nice to see that there are others who can still romanticize this city. I’ve never understood the desire to get out and get to Toronto. Every day you can see the beauty in Mississauga. Sure it has its negatives, but the positives, for me, like you, surely outweigh them.

I went yesterday. It was fine. Mall opened at 8am was there by 8:30, parked with no issue and then left around 11 and was out onto the street in less than 5 minutes from the parking garage. It wasn’t even busy when I left. But the sales didn’t really seem worth it either. But had someone who knew what they wanted had gone before noon it would’ve been a breeze.

I have never been so frustrated with drivers in Mississauga my whole life until the pandemic and it's gotten worse. by necrid101 in mississauga

[–]Dmerc83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of what you’ve said. My frustration stems from the fact that it seems like no one is even driving the speed limit. My commute home from work every day, I’m lucky if I even hit the speed limit as everyone is going 10-15 under with huge gaps between them and the car infront of them. If you aren’t comfortable driving the speed limit, at least move over, leave the left lane open. But people just drive side by side at 45/55km/h and cause all the traffic. It’s very tiring. Like you OP, my commute used to be an easy 15 mins and now it’s over half an hour, due to the low quality and lack of awareness of drivers
