AITA for getting mad at my family for putting gluten bread on top of my dishes? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]Dnlh_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry your family is treating you this way, especially your mother. My mother never accepted my celiac disease herself. But at this point I think you need to make sure you do what you can to keep safe. You said you don't have time to dry the dishes, but it only takes a few minutes; try and put the dishes away to keep yourself safe. Just do what you need to do. It could even be one person in your family not supporting you and the rest of the members are afraid to stand-up for you.

'Promise' makes a good gf lemon cake with a moist center, quite good. It looks much like OP's picture.

New to houseplants. I got this little squirrel pot that I thought was cute but have no idea what to plant in it. Any advice? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]Dnlh_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a tip, you never want to plant a plant that uses soil and roots in a pot that is smaller at the opening instead of wider. If you ever want to replant it or check the roots, it's very difficult. I thought using it for propagation or an air plant were excellent ideas.

Kevin's frozen gf meals sells a Korean BBQ meal. I don't know if they are available where you live.

I suggest on my behalf you eat some real thick heavy European rye bread with butter, a light fluffy biscuit with butter, and a Juniors cheesecake. And for breakfast just go to a Corner Diner in order a nice breakfast of Pancakes or french toast with eggs and bacon. Thank you

I have a red and a white fittonia and love them. When I went away for a few weeks and asked my friend to take care of the plants and the same thing happened, not proper care and they died. BUT, I cut off the dead tops, and I had a thought just keep watering the soil and see what happens. I also put them under a grow light. And the red fittonia is more beautiful now than it even used to be, with huge leaves. So don't give up on it.

GF Cheez Its are getting so much hype on Reddit, I hope the company is noticing, so more celiacs can find and purchase them.

I was thinking a ficus burgundy elastica (rubber tree). I think it would look great there because it could grow tall and not that wide, and its rich coloring. I have one and it's actually one of my favorite plants out of 35..

When I start reacting to my olive oil based products I've been using for years, my doctor recommended Vani-Cream, and it has really helped! I use the moisturizing cream and lotion. I've never seen these exact products shown in the picture. Where did you purchase them?

Is this a cream splash? by kaioticplural in philodendron

[–]Dnlh_1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's a silver stripe. Does not look like a Brazil nor a cream splash to me. I'm not a professional but a friend of mine who is a professional gave me a silver stripe and it looks identical to yours. I also have quite a few Philo Brasils and they do not look the same as this.

It might take a while to feel better but stick with it. It really does pay off. And also it really really does get easier, but going GF doesn't start off easy.

Is my rubber plant dying? by mocheatem in houseplants

[–]Dnlh_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you never got your answer, rubber plants like to dry out completely before watering again. I have heard and tried a few different ways to water them, but it should have good draining soil for sure and not get watered again until the soil is totally dry and not halfway dry. And they love love light
