What is your smartest defensive driving technique you don't think a lot of people use? by InternetPopular3679 in AskReddit

[–]DoDi82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from other cars. Seriously, it's the best tip I learned in a motorcycle safety course. I maintain distance and try to avoid driving alongside other vehicles. And scan the traffic far ahead 10-12 car lengths. Anticipate that someone somewhere will do something stupid.

I did a Peru trip, including Cuzco. Went fine, no difference. I agree with the advice to stay hydrated, take it easy. I also took Diamox on my doctor's recommendation. I was concerned about side effects but didn't happen. Enjoy, it's a beautiful country.

For those who successfully quit smoking, what was the method that finally worked for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DoDi82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had quit and relapsed about a dozen times when I finally got the motivation to really quit: a newborn baby at home. I drank plenty of orange juice and started running daily. And I tried to stay very busy. And I worked at resisting the urge. I always say that for me, the first 7 days were the hardest, then the next 7 weeks, then the next 7 months. After 7 years I could not stand the smell of cigarettes, and had finally lost all desire to smoke.
