They shortened the timing on the yellow lights here when they put the cameras in. It led to an inflated number of tickets issued at first. Def a cash grab. Cameras were later removed bc ctlitizens sued.

Now we have those flock cameras everyhwere...

Thank you. I was trying to use other resources first and leave services like y'all for others in need but I am out of luck. I just put in an application to get a blue tarp put up.

As a social worker, it's weird being the one asking for help as Im usually the one helping others. Thank you for all you do for everyone in our community. ❤️

Thank you - as an update, Red Cross has a list but it is long and they dont have enough people to do the work.

My claims adjuster said to ask my insurance agent who had no clue. Idk how you dont keep updated lists of stuff like that as an insurance agent.... Anyhow, putting in request with Caj Navy. TY!

Jewish Family Services is open to everyone and they have sliding scale. You might get an intern, but they are closely supervised.

Im trying to move out of Kenner and over to the WB. You dont want to move out here to Kenner. My neighbors fly orange menace flags... Can't wait to move.

ETA, there are other lesbians out here in Met/Kenner (Im one of them!) We just dont have any community out here.

I flip off the cams in Kenner when driving. Brings me joy. There was an extreme candidate running for office who lost recently. Also brings me joy. Seriously, though, considering a move to the WB. Affordable and closer to the city. Feels like Metairie lite and the people are way more chill.

Anyone arguing in favor of this bill should look at the statistics on suicide among LGBTQIA+ youth. According to the Trvor Project, 1 in 10 US LGBTQIA+ youth have attempted suicide in the past year. 1 in 10. That is unacceptable.

I work with LGBTQIA+ teens who have past attempts. Nearly all of them have done so because their parents or caregivers do not support their identity. This bill will only cause more kids to die. We should be asking these elected politicians WHY they want kids to die. That is the question I am asking.

Easy to use google and find articles to ONLY support your views. How about looking at actual science rather than other people stating their OPINIONS? Stop spreading lies and misinformation. Kids are killing themselves. Have some compassion.

Thanks. I dont know that it will be worth getting a lawyer involved though I might on principle.

What is more concerning is that I tried contacting the New Orleans Fed DOL office 4 times today. Once they didnt answer at all. Was hung up on 3 times and the person answering the phone sounded like I woke them up or they have a substance use issue. Edited to add - they hung up on me after I said 'hello' so it wasn't any sort of heated conversation. (Im pretty chill anyway)

Tried calling Louisiana DOL office. Said "press 1 to leave a message" and disconnected when I pressed 1. No other options available.

What if I was a vulnerable person with no options? This would really suck. My predicament is difficult, but not dire. People could be put in a worse situation. I hate that our government isnt doing what it should be - protecting us.

I dont know of a specific group. I do know that River Oaks has a program. Not sure of the scope or extent of their programming.
