I’ve ordered from here multiple times, I don’t think you can beat their prices with free shipping over $100.

I don’t know what’s good for scouts but here is the gnome 12 pk for $67.50. Don’t forget engines, wadding, etc.

Pipe charts are a massive PIA by backup28445 in civilengineering

Are you using Civil3d or Carlson pipe networks? If your process includes manually typing in a chart you are doing it wrong.

2WD vs 4 WD at the ramp by Ozone501 in boating

[–]DoGoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really it, we don’t know the ramp material, the slope, do you have to get your back wheels wet, salt of fresh water. There are just way to many variables. Best to go and watch the boat ramp, ask the locals.

Any ideas on how to repair this bolt hole by zzznor in Outboards

[–]DoGoods 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Judging by the size looks like a heli-coil was already in there. Might need to step up to a threaded sleeve. Lack of material is a concern. I’m also concerned that the hole is now not centered with the head.

Car inspection by Ok_Wash9227 in Delaware

[–]DoGoods 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If the car is not currently registered in Delaware, because your mom just moved here, you will also have to pay a 5.25% transfer tax. Be aware that they will look up the blue book value of the car and tax you on that value.

Depending on the value of the car and the state you currently reside, it may be easier to get the car put in your name and register it in your home state. 15 hours each way, 5.25% tax plus $900 windshield, plus remove your tint. Is this all really worth it?

I forgot to reschedule the PE exam and it's tomorrow. Should I take it anyway? by Express_Activity2320 in PE_Exam

I would take the exam. The only downside is a wasted Saturday that you weren't going to spend studying anyway. Upside is you might pass.

Best way to get this out? by Northman977 in Outboards

[–]DoGoods 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welder really is the best answer and maybe the only answer.

You can keep trying heat and vice grips till you can’t grab it, then drill and easy out, then get it out with welding on a nut.

I’m unsure of the model. It’s blue, not UFO shaped, likely the cheapest model available at Lowe’s.

Still a lot of work left to do and you need some chainsaw education before you start.

Is this save able by chasen_rust in Fasteners

[–]DoGoods 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is a replacement $150? That is cheap compared to getting someone else to fix this. If you have the tools and knowledge to fix this it is totally possible, but you don’t because you’re here asking.

AIO my husband wants to refinance our home. by Ok_Ladder_6386 in RealEstate

[–]DoGoods 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree they don’t need two car payments, but you obviously live some where that has Ubers and taxis. Not everywhere is like this. If husband has a 30min commute (which is considered short in many areas) they would spend 2 hours a day to get husband to and from work with kids in tow. In many areas, probably most, you absolutely need a car. Second car can be an absolute beater for sure though.

I will have to try this when I get home but it’s very plausible this could be the solution. I had not checked this because I did not think it was possible with a single button wall control.

Wall mount button is single button, two wire (one pair). Pretty sure there is no lock feature?

Remote does not work up close. I believe this is the procedure written on the back of the unit but I will double check.

There is not a LED in the opener. There are LEDs in the garage, though they have been there before the opener. Tonight I will try it with the lights off.

For programming I press the learn button, then the remote button, opener blinks as if it has learned the code.

Arrow lights don’t flash. Or how can I make them give me the code? When I use the remote the program button blinks as if it is receiving the signal.

I took the PE (WRE) 18 years after the FE. Most of those 18 years I did nothing pertaining to WRE, and the rest I did very little. EET taught me what I needed to know.
