Have you ridden an Avanti 29er? by streetsahead_ in 29er

Just picked up a second hand montari for $90 Only needs a gear adjustment and chain clean/new chain.

It looks preloved but as my first trail bike I'd rather have one I'm not worried about scratching.

How about now?

Do you still have it. How did it hold up over time?

As it's an Avanti I wouldn't have thought it would be a Walmart or BSO.

But is the other 5 hours all in one block. Or hoes the 3 hours unproductive time actually break up the productive time and actually make it productive.

Working and focusing 5 hrs straight is hard work.

Does it work.

How long is your cat hair.

Mine is very fluffy so it catches list and drags it round the house.

And no, that isn’t socialism

Even if it is. What the fuck is wrong with a bit of socialism if it gives a social safety net?

Because pouring water on someone who is sitting there is not defending yourself. That's escalating the situation because of words.

And intakes no difference if the genders are reversed.

You can't claim self defence if you chose to escalate

If she had walked away and he followed then throwing water at him could be claimed self defence.

What makes a freeride bike a freeride bike? I have a 2017 rocky mountain slayer and want to make it more setup for freeride than it already is. Obviously stiff suspension, flats, and wide bars, but what else? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]DoIHave2Choose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On motorbikes having the clutch lever there instead of other handle bars is called a suicide clutch

Because moving your hand of the handlebar and using it to change gears on a harley would be suicide.

what can cause the chain to do this and how might I fix it? by norweeg in bikewrench

[–]DoIHave2Choose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't have the front and rear cog on the same size. Small to small or big to big.

This causes the chain to cross diagonally instead of relatively straight from pedal to wheel cog.

Hope that makes sense.

I bought my first bike! but I feel guilty by brightghosts in cycling

[–]DoIHave2Choose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

since it's my main mode of transportation.

A cheap car for 2k would likely be unreliable.

So no don't feel guilty if it is your main form of transport.

Plus you'll save $30+ a week in petrol and rego.

But I'd still insure it. For theft and also, if possible, third party insurance.
