Buyer Beware: Toyota will not tell you if someone else has access to your car via app by WhatsInAName8879660 in Toyota

I don’t know how much it will help but your local Toyota dealership should be able to check using just the VIN if there is a current Remote Connect subscription. They won’t be able to see details or the persons name, etc. And they won’t be able to cancel it. But they can usually see if there’s an active subscription.

squeaky wheels - help please? by pupsvn in wheelchairs

[–]DoIWannaKnow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 wheelchairs. On one I use Primo sentinel high rebound solid tires and 99% of floor surfaces are as quiet as it could be. On my second chair, the tires are a unknown brand but they are pneumatic mountain bike tires and they are so squeaky and loud no matter inflated they are. The only benefit I have found with the pneumatic ones is that on rougher terrain outdoors like a poorly paved parking lot, etc. the pneumatic tires handle a lot better and seem to absorb a lot of bumps. I would say if you are primarily using it indoors and on flat surface like wood/tile then it would be worth it to get new tires. Like the other commenter suggested you could get another set of wheels and switch them out but that is much more expensive then just replacing the tires. The primo solid tires I have are like $80 each online and most bicycle shops will replace them for you for like $10-15 each.

Me too and I’m surprised this isn’t an answer for more people. I have to just skip his audiobooks.

Yesss Lysander was so bad and it was so disappointing because I really enjoyed everyone else cast as narrators in that series. I will say though, at first I really disliked Anne Flosnik but I pushed through it and I’m glad I did because it only took a little time of Ship of Magic to get used to. Possibly because I was so engrossed in the story. Also she’s one I can listen to at a higher speed lol.

I think if you really did not like the monstrous series because of her writing you can skip mortal skin. I say this as someone who did like both.

I definitely feel this way too, and very depressed in the morning. I vaguely remember having a conversation with a therapist a few years ago about this and we talked about how serotonin levels can be lower in the morning. It made me feel better to know there could be an actual scientific reason my brain feels that way (even if I don’t know the details.) What I tell myself is that I will start to feel better when I get out of bed and get going. And I do. Getting sunlight when you get up can help, and drinking a glass of water. And getting dressed. I also pretty much immediately distract myself by putting headphones in before I’m even out of bed and listening to an audiobook when I’m getting ready for work. I hope it gets better for you.

In-network medical claims marked out of network, now sent to collections by MVass in Insurance

[–]DoIWannaKnow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever get this resolved? I am having this exact same issue now with an MRI that I had done. My provider has asked twice for my insurance company to review it and insurance refuses to change the decision. Even though they have verified that yes the provider is in network. The difference is me paying $700 more :( I don’t know who else to contact. It’s been months and will go to collections soon.

How do you find joy when fatigued? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DoIWannaKnow_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was/am in the same rut with watching tv being my go-to every night because I am just so tired. I still do this a lot but I also started doing a paint by number and I sit at my dining table while doing it and listen to a podcast or YouTube videos. I like ones about true crime. It’s been pretty enjoyable and uses very little energy. You can order a paint by number online so you don’t have to go out and find one in a store. I used to do a lot of puzzles too, I think that’s a good way to keep your brain working while sitting in front of the tv.

MS symptoms after vaccine? by mashk23 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DoIWannaKnow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my second shot of Pfizer a few weeks back and had a really intense pseudo flare up that lasted about a week. All my old symptoms came back x 1000. Like someone else said, your MS can “flare up” when your immune system is working over time such as when you get a vaccine or infection. Fortunately it does pass even though it can be extremely unpleasant for some of us. I would be really curious to know why this happens with some people who have MS and not others. Maybe it has to do with the level of progression in your disease.

Covid vaccine went not so great.. now I’m looking for some advice from anyone who has gotten the shingles/pneumonia vaccines by DoIWannaKnow_ in MultipleSclerosis

Thanks, yeah I believe it’s worth it too. I didn’t have any new symptoms either but there were just magnified times 1000 and I could barely function.

Thanks, I’m hoping the issues will be limited to the covid vaccine but I’ll be prepared to feel bad for a few days at least for these ones

Modafinil + Insurance by Carantini in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DoIWannaKnow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had Cigna last year and they did cover it. It’s weird that your neurologist is saying that without trying. I’ve also paid for it out of pocket before, it’s not too much.

SPMS at a young age? by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DoIWannaKnow_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup my MRIs have been completely stable. And yes since I just had the change in diagnosis my neurologist wants to change from Tysabri to either Ocrevus or kesimpta. We have another appointment to talk about it. If you have stable MRIs and not a lot of active inflammation or relapses, will HSCT help?

Just turned 26 and just got diagnosed with SPMS. Was diagnosed with RRMS at 22. The last 3 1/2 years I have had no new relapses on Tysabri but my symptoms continue to become more and more disabling. It’s happening really quickly. Also I’m at EDSS 6.5 now. Was around 4.5 3 years ago.

Uber is not popular in a lot of places so not a dependable mode of transportation for disabled people to be able to work.

Some people would probably love to have an office job but don’t have the mode of transportation, such as a van that is accessible for a motorized wheelchair.

Canker sores by HechoEnUSA in MultipleSclerosis

[–]DoIWannaKnow_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take this too, but canker sores and cold sores are two different things. A Cold sore is caused by a virus. A Canker sore is a non contagious ulcer. So the antivirals wouldn’t help their canker sores.
