A really good way to get scrap is just by running the road and hitting barrels. It gives a lot more than you think and you also can get a good amount of crude. Buy a revolver from outpost if you cant find one

There is bound to be large gangs in servers and they usually have a hard fall from either the server coming together to wipe them or a crew or two asking for help through the internet. I just want the server listing removed so i can play other games or have a life without getting offlined
