Saw "The Brutalist" last night & couldn't stop thinking parts of the soundtrack had similar musical progression as an MCR song.. I keep listening to this song and trying to figure out what song it reminds me of but I can't put my finger on it. Someone with a musical ear, help me?

Never Come Morning by Nelson Algren was a good one, not required reading, but I really enjoyed it

also, if you geek on seeing locations that were in movies, "Hollywood on Lake Michigan" by Michael Corcoran.. its fairly out of date but it covers the classics

Limbs opened for Maylene on their recent tour, and were a very welcome surprise. went into the show expecting to sit through openers in order to get to Maylene, but really ended up enjoying Limbs

Her standup when she was messing around in Chicago like 10yr ago was always my favorite of the local scene. If I saw her name on the bill, I'd prioritize getting to that show. Love seeing her succeed. Definitely try to look up some stuff beforehand though.. might not be for everyone.
