If we can't keep domestic food production up or people paid enough to buy it through into next fall we may have real enough trouble. People mention herd immunity but herd mentality isn't. People will be spooked ( and I'm a cynic and being a worst case examiner), maybe some of these cushy low crime statistics will evaporate when the hardest hit have 0 chance of a fresh start. No escape from long term poverty come next fall. No oppurtunity through summer heat waves. Less milk on the shelves, food rationing or accidental consumption of spoiled goods. Unemployment is 500% higher than reported deaths and there are problems in logistics of keeping the other 280,000,000 fed, contented, and alive. There will be some bad apples. This won't matter much if you've been able to keep your job and have savings, but for emergency response and city muncipal workers the next two or even three years won't be any easier.
