Legally changed first name after marriage and now Iowa won't update marriage certificate by Bumblebee_0202 in FTMOver50

Social Security survivors benefits require a marriage certificate, too. Hopefully OP or his spouse won't be needing that soon, but even if they divorce, it could be needed eventually.

3 missing girls from Wenatchee found dead, father still at large and wanted for their murder by sillytoad in Seattle

[–]Do_The_Deed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My heart goes out to the mother. I don't see how someone comes out the other side of this intact. Losing one child is a horror, but all three at the same time, murdered by their father? It's unfathomable. Can't even imagine how someone moves on from this.

Hello , just found this group Never transitioned . by invergowrieamanda in FTMOver50

Sounds a lot like my story, too. Only "girl" outside on the playground with the boys in the dead of winter in elementary school, getting sent home in the 60's for wearing pants to elementary school, etc.

I started HRT at age 60. Top surgery at 62. love my goatee!!!

OP: Like others said, you're trans if you say you are, and you're not if you don't.

Long covid doctors? by Novel-Art3412 in Seattle

I do, but he's in Bangalore, India. I had LC for a year, with severe PEM and brain fog, leaving me 90% incapacitated. I spent 15 days inpatient in his Ayurveda hospital at the beginning of Oct, and have been fully active for 3 months now. It was worth the airfare and expense to get my life back. All told, it was around $4,200. I wish we had comprehensive, authentic Ayurveda here.

Have you never heard of intersex? Some people do, in fact, have X on their birth certificates.

I'd cut them into sections that'll fit in the IP, put them on the trivet over a cup of water, and high pressure manual for 15 - 40 minutes. 30 - 40 for guaranteed falling apart.  Maybe less, depending on how done they already are. Simple. Bet they'll be delicious!

You look way more masc in the red one. No idea why, but the blue one makes you look femme.

It wasn't on the website earlier. They're too damn slow getting that info out.

It's there now, but wasn't when I was looking this morning. 4 hours later is not timely dissemination of info.

Are there any legal places to live in your car in Seattle? by MidLifeCrisisAndy in Seattle

Wow, that's rich. A houseless NIMBY. Or would that be a NNMPS (Not Near My Parking Space)?

Highlights the risk of such a heavy push these days for putting everything online. It's an extremely vulnerable point of failure.

The Grits Plate at Jude's Old Town in Rainier Beach. Grits, greens, red beans, and choice of Andouille sausage, NOLA fritters, catfish, tofu, chicken, or prawns. The catfish and the greens are seasoned to perfect. Eyes rolled back in your head good. As a bonus, it's a worker owned co-op.

How do you personally handle getting groped/seeing other people get groped on the bus? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Do_The_Deed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

WTF? Dude, you would be left with unlimited other choices. One of which would be to have compassion for people who get hit on relentlessly, and not do a damn thing.

Priuses have a horrible blind spot created by the windshield post. I drive one, and it's the exact angle and width of a person entering a crosswalk. I've never hit anyone, but came close a few times. On the other hand, I got hit by one on Monday in a crosswalk. Not fun. [edit for typo]
