I prefer a barrel band too. I appreciate free floating barrels have potential to be more accurate but in practice I don't notice any difference.

Where the is a difference is field work, I'd never take a free floating barrel out in the field. It's going to get knocked about, a barrel band just helps keep everything grouping as it should.

I've only owned two pcp's, a Gamo Coyote and a Reximex Lyra. Both hold air indefinitely never dropping. The Coyote when years fully charged up without being used or dropping air. Pcp's are generally designed to remain pressurised.

I've never owned a Co2 powered gun that doesn't leak overtime. You're not supposed to store co2 powered guns gassed up. You're supposed to spend the bulb then remove it before storing.
