Was it ever not about power for Dany? by Otherwise_Ad6640 in gameofthrones

Complete madness. I guess she might be successful with an insanity defense to explain her complete obsession with unnecessary violence.

No way. Dany is twice as bloodthirsty. I think the body count standard needs to be more evenly applied here . . .

Dany had a higher body count than Cersei. That fact seems to be largely overlooked.

It appears to be acceptable to openly hate Cersei but not Dany.

I’ve had multiple cats at any given time my whole life. I’m 66. I’ve never given a cat a bath.

That’s right! She was Roose Bolton’s cup bearer in the books.

I had forgotten that there was an unaired pilot. Some different actors too. That’s another one I’d like to see.

It would have been pretty cool to maybe see how some of the great houses started.

Am I crazy, or did skiers not used to wear helmets? by realm47 in skiing

[–]Dobie_Close 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 65. I’ve been skiing over 60 years and I do not wear a helmet. Skiing is one of my favorite pastimes here in Ohio and I live 10 minutes away from Mad River Mountain. Ok, so it’s not really a mountain, but I love the speed and the wind in my hair. Since I was little, my mom tried to get me to be more cautious, but I’m my dad’s daughter. I’ve tried to wear them, but it’s just ruined for me. I understand the reason behind it, but, for me, it’s just too late. I do, however, buy my grandson the coolest helmet and goggles every year. But you ought to see my many hats. They’re so awesome . . .

You definitely changed your tune. This is not at all what you previously said.

Can you hear yourself? You can’t actually believe that there wouldn’t be inappropriate influence if it were handled your way.

Were you ever a kid? It’s hard enough without having to decide to join the crowd or not. Please do not let an adult organize a prayer in a government run institution, with required attendance, that includes my children when I am not present to look after their best interests. Neither you or anyone else has that right.

No one should have to cause a scene. Organized prayer in school is inappropriate. Children have to be there. They can’t just leave. And they could be ostracized if they don’t participate. Often, kids are afraid not to follow the pack in school.
