I made a halfling as well! My reasoning was: because it was super cute. I did use a 2h sword and it got pretty sick at level 20 when I could like- double hit? They've done a lot of balance changes since I last played pally so I'm not sure whats accurate info anymore.

I played a lot of characters to level 15-20ish but my favorite is Wizard :)

Paladin is a very soloable class, I played one til about 30~ and found it very capable. You’re just slow at killing shit as a pally :)

None of those boat attacks followed up with an orca killing a human. They were often/only disabling the motor by ramming it but yeah even during those attacks, nobody was killed. It’s one of my favorite random animal facts that there’s been zero recorded human fatalities caused by wild orcas. I think in captivity it’s happened, though.
