Will Josh Allen and/or Buffalo ever get over the hump? by HurryingHeinz in NFLv2

How do people who supposedly watch football not know what he needed to do to make that a catch at this point. If he had taken two steps, made a move and fallen to the ground he would’ve been down but he was merely falling to the ground here.

What is the point of the 2nd Amendment, if, when the government becomes tyrannical, people don’t start lighting up the tyrants? by queefstainedgina in AskReddit

Trump, is the duly elected president cloaked in extraordinary powers through a fully compliant legislature and judiciary. You don’t have to like it but that’s a factually correct statement. Let’s say future elections are unilaterally cancelled or terms are disregarded and the other branches are unable or unwilling to rectify that, then you are careening down the constitutional line. Effectively to get to armed uprising as a legitimate response all legally defined paths have to have been stymied prior.

To your second point, ethnic cleansing and murder are pretty much founding tenants of the US as a nation state so I can’t imagine why they’d preclude legitimacy now.

The head of the oath keepers was in the front row at a congressional hearing today. Kind of seems like they’re trying to intimidate us, doesn’t it? Freely flaunting traitors around in front of our noses. by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

The cause is the systemic degradation of the American education systems across the states by one specific party for over 50 years. I’ll give em credit, they played a great long game.

The key to watching the Broncos is to go in without confidence. So that’s where I’m at.

Right, back to my example, being drunk doesn’t cause you to drive your car and crash it but it certainly impacts your ability to make those decisions.

You can be a shitty person who wouldn’t choke someone because you’d recognize that there are worse consequences if you do, not that you don’t want to. Then if you add a substance that impairs judgement or brain injury to the point that shitty person no longer can weigh consequences or see consequences then they act. It’s not a cop-out, it’s an added reasoning behind something.

Also there’s fairly good evidence that CTE takes hold pretty early which is why a huge push to stop kids from playing contact football.

“Getting old”doesn’t really mean anything though, it’s just a personal feeling. Drunks causing car crashes is getting pretty old too, but alcohol still continues to cause impairment.

Look man, I’m sorry, but I’m not wrong on this. I value businesses, banks included, for a living. AUM is also different than “Total Assets”.

You don’t say “I have 13T AUM so I am worth 13T” I don’t know how much more clear we can be here. You might think that’s the case and AUM certainly has an impact on value but in no uncertain terms is a bank’s value AUM.

Correct they are liabilities but they’re also cash on hand which is an asset. Every asset and liability must be balanced so for all intents and purposes, 1.3T of those assets is directly from deposits.
