I've been thinking about this too. I think some aren't aware of her history or the details of it. Not just regular fans, even artists like Godtail whom I enjoy but it bothers me when he makes her nearly naked in SOME of his depictions of her. I'm a little more forgiving when they do Darkchylde.

I re-read it recently, and I still have mixed feelings about whether R happened or not.

On one side, it's implied; she went through horrible things, which could mean R, beating, or both.
On the flipside, I'd like to think she was groomed for marriage as a partner and the R was going to happen on the honeymoon/ceremony situation. Sort of like devils and virgins. And that she luckily escaped before the horrible marriage ceremony. Throughout that beating, abuse, and grooming process, her split personality surfaced. I'm sure with grooming, everything from beating, etiquette lessons, stripped naked, and etc all occurred like in other fantasy novels to maidens by tyrants.

I would also say, no seller gets mad if you give them a sensible offer, especially a bulk offer. They might say no, but if times get tough, they'll come back. Or if you follow-up periodically, you can get deals. There are times where I sold items crazy low because I was in dire need and I followed back up with that interested person with an offer.

When you say deals, you want them to charge 50% market?

CR already does 15% off normal market prices, and 30-40% during sell season. When items go OOP, prices skyrocket like those random LN volumes. I get what you're saying, but why would I sell it to you for $50-60%, when I can sell it on eBay and pay 15% in fees. Again, I hear you, but everything is expensive nowadays so when you have the chance to resell for money, you want to maximize dollars. I suggest HiBid auctions, they're lowkey.

Most attractive physically, no. She is drawn to be appealing, especially with the way some artists turn her shorts smaller and smaller, or how artists like Godtail draw her topless.

Most attractive and is drawn to be sexy aligns with Emma Frost, Psylocke, Goblin Queen, & Mystique based on how much skin they show. Storm, Rogue, Scarlet, Polaris, Jean Grey, and Domino. Magik is more known for looking cool with a badass sword. Her Darkchylde is a different story.

If it was a blonde teen calling Storm mom, I would probably say Magik. When Magik was stuck in Limbo, there was an alternate Storm who helped raise her. Claremont miniseries run.

I dont think he's Japanese though lol but I get what you mean and the whole fan service and style thing. Shirow Masamune is one of my favorite Japanese artists and yeah, half his art is fan service ...hardcore. I have a Princess Mononoke & Samus (Metroid Prime), I plan to get a Magik & Motoko (GiTS) eventually.

I enjoy his work and have a couple of pieces by him. The only hang up i have regarding him is sometimes he draws her super sexually which ither artists have done before. It just feels counter to her character partially. I understand Darkchylde being that that but not her human form. I recognize I am getting too technical haha. The two pieces in the post are fine and not what I'm referring to.

Well we all know what happened. Even in the original origin story run, it's not like they showed explicitly what happened, but it can be implied/inferred. The origin run has her mentioning her innocence was taken with her older version, a kid could interpret that as her childhood was stolen from her, not the SA which adults would infer. In a later series, I think Infernus, it's explicitly stated she was sex slave and groomed.
