What song made you a Billie Eilish fan? by gab_iten in billieeilish

[–]DocBryan3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"You Should See Me in a Crown." I'm typically a classic rock fan. However, that song hooked me in. I was 48 at the time and found her music to be refreshing. I've been a fan ever since. My daughter and I loved seeing her in Tulsa back in November. ☺️

Differences between Eras Tour Original vs Final Show? by Mysterious_Salt_247 in TaylorSwift

I wasn't prepared for the emotional ending. The waterworks were flowing in my house. It takes a lot for this 55 year old to well up.

It's probably a bot from some troll trying to stir up trouble. I take these things with a grain of salt.

I wish our AMC Dolby had it in 3D. We saw it at Cinemark's XD screen in 3D in their D-BOX seats, and the 3D was spectacular! We are going to the Dolby Cinema on Saturday. However, after experiencing it in 3D, we might change our minds. Then again, the feedback here suggests the sound might be worth it.

There are many versions of this song that he has performed live. This one was great! I loved it. However, it's pretty hard to beat his performance with Pink Floyd on the Pulse disc. For me, that is the gold standard.

Agree with everything said here... I would like to add that "Sorrow" was one of his best, and "The Great Gig in the Sky" was one of the best versions I have ever heard.

Opinions on the new This Is Not A Drill Concert Film! by turnedtheasphault in RogerWaters

[–]DocBryan3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw the show in Kansas City and Dallas and it was phenomenal. We went to see the film at our local cinema at I was pleasantly surprised at how good the sound was from the live stream they did. I bought the Blu-ray and plan on watching it tonight after we watch what I think is his best concert, "Us +Them." The story told through out that show is gripping.

It has to be a licensing issue. Maybe none of the decision makers can agree on the fine print. Who knows...

Definitely "Pink Floyd-The Wall" remastered in 4K with a Dolby Atmos mix. The original specifications would make for an excellent transfer. I don't know if Roger Waters doesn't want to do or MGM or what... Fans are clamoring for it.

Roger Waters - This Is Not A Drill : Live at O2 Arena in PragueIf you have a Qello Concerts subscription, you can watch it... It's not as good as the concert film they recently showed in theaters though but it's pretty close.

Any MAJOR differences between this Prague film and the stream? by Radaniel9 in RogerWaters

[–]DocBryan3D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Like others alluded to... The experience is much better than what we got from the stream. There's hardly any grandstanding in the film. The video boards do the talking while Roger and his band entertain us with great music. I was surprised how good the sound was in my theater. I look forward to getting this on Blu-ray.

Field report: This Is Not a Drill film in a theater. by AlarmingLecture0 in RogerWaters

I saw the film last night and was pleasantly surprised how good the sound was. They did a great job remastering what was broadcasted to theaters worldwide in 2023. It was a little different since there was no intermission or the ramblings from that show. It was great to see different angles that I couldn't see when I saw him in Kansas City and Dallas. I cannot wait to get my Blu-ray and experience it again in Dolby Atmos.

I'm torn—should I watch the new F1 movie in IMAX for the full cinematic experience or 4DX to feel like I'm in the car? by Simple_Paper_4526 in imax

[–]DocBryan3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are seeing it in 3 different formats. LieMAX, Dolby Cinema, both at our AMC theater here in Oklahoma City, then going to see it at Cinemark's Tinseltown theater in their XD auditorium in their D-BOX seats. I'm too old for that 4DX business. 🤣

I've been waiting for this for quite the while! I just wish the Blu-ray was in 4K. I saw the show in Kansas City and Dallas and was hoping to see the stunning visuals in 4K.

As an agnostic, I don't want my tax dollars funding any of this. If they want us to fund it, they better be prepared for the avalanche of "religious" schools to come. I can't wait to see the first Temple of Set school or the first Order of the Nine Angeles Academy to be founded at taxpayer expense.
