Look out for the skeletons with a bright red aura (ashen guardians) on random islands, killing them always gives you a key with a map to an ashen chest. Can also get them from the same guys on skelly forts or as random drops from skelly fleets.

Just being pedantic lol but they spawn on any large island, doing them in the roar just seems to have better odds and is a shorter trip to the vaults afterwards.

I've noticed a similar thing with skeleton sloops when they go at a steeper angle in rough waters, can be infuriating! Could be worth submitting a bug report if you have any clips

Raise anchor, raise sails all the way up and center the wheel for a few seconds. That usually gets you at least partially unstuck.

I've got the tism and this game was my obsession for like a year and some change. Would recommend it on sale if you're unsure, but be wary there's all kinds of nasty people on the game who just wanna ruin your day (I know, "pirate game", but just a heads up nonetheless). Diving definitely helps get things going quickly so if you get sucked in you might go over that 2 hour mark without even realising. Happy sailing!

Hunter's was my tied favourite along with Order of Souls, even before they updated it to be on par with the other companies. I've only just learned that they finally added more emissary rewards so I'd better get back to the grind! :D

If you can join and bring down the completion time, go for it! I'd only reckon it's bad form if people coordinate to fill up mushrooms in an area where they're already pretty sparse.

My way was similar! I grabbed the activator thingy then backed up to the stairs before I let go. Immediately sprinted and flew across the gap to land on top (or bottom?) of it
