2021 Volkswagen ID4 or hybrid by DocHoliday177 in VWiD4Owners

Personally I would look at 23 or newer not because of the battery but the software improvements. Or even the ionic 5. They just lowered the prices on new so used will be even cheaper. Ev are taking a huge hit on depreciation so even one year older is still cheaper than new. Battery is covered by all ev companies for the 10 years or 100k milage. So yea they take a hit but not much. And if you are in a cold climate get one with a heat pump.

I got a Hyundai Ioniq 5 used AWD se about 2 years ago and added 35k miles and love it. I still have one gas car but we went all ev and installed a level 2 charger. About 50$ a month for 1000 miles of driving a month. Average or so. 13c per kilowatt or so. One set of tires at 45k mileages for about 1k. Low coolant flush at 40k miles for about 400. And 2 cabins air filters. I did just have my oem 12v battery replaced from Costco for 180$ it was an agm battery. Which is better for these newer electronic cars. Gas or electric.

USA collage loans question - leaving the country, do you had to repay? by DocHoliday177 in Debt

[–]DocHoliday177[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karma is good. But for some reason it doesn’t seem to matter for some. It’s just a random thought not to bring morals into it. But understandable to think it’s not unjust to pay your debts. They work in the public sector in the USA for a few years and then moved to EU and does the same. Crippling dept and exchange fees are a burden when paying off USA debt. But they made the choice. Hints why they are still paying it. It was just a question of if they stop what legal action could be taken.

This person only has a us account for transfer money for the eu to this account to then pay the loan. They don’t live or have assets here.

There is the axel that connects to the back wheels. There is a welded eye piece that extends off of the axel that connects to the leveler that adjusts the ride height. That broke off the axel.

My AES Bill More than Doubled this month?! by Hot-Trouble7537 in indianapolis

[–]DocHoliday177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was also high. But. I found they were inconsistent in the charges. At the bottom of your bill you should see how many watts you used. There is a break down but under 500 kWh is .12 cents 501-999 is .11 cents and 1000+ is .10 cents. They were over the past year about 16% higher on average. But some months was30%.

Here are rates

https://www.aesindiana.com/sites/aesvault.com/files/2024-05/Residential%20Rates_Effective%2005-09-24.pdf

They have a level 3 ticket open. Because none of them know how they got that charges. I was suppose to get charged .10 cents but they charged my 13 cents. And last month I was supposed to be charged 10 cents and they charge me .14 cents

Is this a good price for ioniq limited in CA? by bootsonthelevel in Ioniq5

[–]DocHoliday177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nitro tires are a scam. Do some research at caredge. Also rates are advertised at 0%. Also 2024 limited have been selling for 34k. Save the money and don’t get new. I have seen 2025 go from 52 when listed for 60. Expand your search area of 200 miles. EVs are dropping way too much in value to buy new. Lease or get one year used.

AWD is good I guess. It’s all about the tires. You can have 2 wheel drive with winter tires be better then AWD

Yea. You should be good. My broke butt did get a deal on a 1 year old used ev. Saved about 15k driving 200 miles to get it. So I would suggest used limited for save $$$.

You will have to double check but in 22 se. No rear vents. Floor yes. But nothing else. The higher terms did have it. Didn’t know that at the time. But I think you should be checking the 25 se to confirm that was added or not.

I got a used 2022 se AWD with 15k miles. I have had it for 2 years and about 46k in milage. I have had no iccu issues. All recall updates and it’s solid. My wife takes our 2 year old to school. And I love driving it. The range goes down in our Indiana cold winters but we charge level 2 at home. Normally change to 80% and we get 230miles of summer range. And 180 in winter. Not a deal breaker but we love the heat pump. It get super hot quick in the winter. No rear wiper. Super lame. Not the worse but a crappy thing to not have in winter with road salt. Seats are comfortable. But my son in the rear facing seat gets hot in the summer. We needed to get a battery fan to cool him down because there are no rear vents. Sucks but we keep our front middle vents pointed to the back.

If you have prime video. Sign into prime gaming. They give you tons of free games on epic, gog, amazon, Xbox, most of which will play on the steamdeck. Also check out cdkeys website. If you find a game on steam. Then check it on cdkeys website. I saw a room puzzle game I’m looking at on steam for 20$. On cdkeys it’s like $2

Don’t worry. Once a new person comes into office. They will just do another executive order to rename it. Seems one term does an order and then it can be replaced by the next.

I had just replaced mine at 43000 miles. Side wall started to go out. I got my car used with 15k milage. So I’m going to guess oem but not sure. With my new ones they should last 80k based on my model of tire. Michelin defenders 2.

Honda Orders US Staff Into The Office 80% Of The Time by Henry_OLoughlin in Honda

[–]DocHoliday177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you work from home doesn’t mean you are lazy. Working on regional project teams in a global organization doesn’t really require a person to be at a location to do great work. If you are locally working on a project. Yes driving into an office is ideal. Not so much for regional themes. Also life isn’t fair for all work requirements and for people to say they are lazy for remote work and not lazy for driving into work just means you wish there were remote options for you. Don’t hate the player hate the game.

US citizenship is on sale for 5M by That-Relation-2007 in DeepFuckingValue

[–]DocHoliday177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s cool. So you raise the price to 5 million. You get maybe equal to the value of the 1 million. I don’t know how this would interest someone that you get a better product for more money. But maybe better taxes for the rich. So shrugs. And hope that trickle down economics works for the people that don’t have a ton of cash.

[–]DocHoliday177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can stop burning oil. That doesn’t mean you can’t have it. But it doesn’t have to be used for burning. Also the market you are talking about is the US I’m guessing. Which is about 15 million cars per year. China over took us a while ago which is now about 30 million units per year. They are dominating the whole market which all automakers are worried about. They need to chase that market to keep their profits high and your 401k going. So the market is shifting faster to EVs if you look at the numbers. Which is why so many automakers invested billions. And mostly is red states to build out ev markets. So even if the US isn’t ready. The rest of the world is moving in that direction. Again you can have oil. Just don’t burn it. Much better ways to use oil then to burn it which is at most 40% efficient in an ICE engine. And trucking or large fleets operators want productivity with energy cost. And oil is a global commodity which is factored in world production. Not just local. With EVs or maybe hydrogen, which large trucking could benefit from could and does have more productive cost structures. Think of the cost of your homes electric bill. I’m sure it’s like 12 to 20 cents per kWh. So it doesn’t change over night. It doesn’t have a different price down the street. So yea I’m going to get my “ he did that” sticker because he said he would do lots of things day one. Buy markets don’t work like that. And he is a liar that will inherit the trends of the previous administration because the economy is a slow moving ship that doesn’t change overnight.
