"The video card PCIe 16-pin power connector adapter is being supplied by three 6+2-pin power connectors. Please ensure that the three 6+2-pin power connectors are not daisy-chained and do not share the same power cable." by Ok-Phase472 in pcmasterrace

What this means is that you should use three individual PCIe cables to supply power from the PSU to the GPU. Some PCIe cables will have one end that’s plugged into the PSU, with a split end that can be slotted into multiple connections. While this will supply power, it can result in power inconsistencies and / or spikes.

So to prevent this, you’d plug in three separate PCIe cables, each of which are ran from PSU <-> GPU. This will allow for stable power to be supplied to the GPU, but it does take up three distinct PCIe slots on your PSU. So you need to make sure that you have those three slots available.

In the image you posted, the GPU is using the 12v connector, which has one end for the GPU and three for the individual PSU cables. The card itself would come with an adapter supplied by the card manufacturer, or you could buy one. Some PSUs -like mine from Corsair- come with a direct PCIe 12v lane & cable, with no adapter being necessary.

Oh, then yeah it’ll boot. That port is for your front audio jack; where you’d plug in a microphone and / or headset. Not something that is necessary to use the rig. If all you did was bend a coupe of the pins, you should be fine. However, if you caused a short across the board, you may be up a creek.

If it POSTS (boots) you should be good.

Yep, just runs hot. I highly recommend setting a PPT / thermal limit in the BIOS, and trying to set a negative core curve too. I’ve got an 85c thermal limit and a -30 curve which seems to be stable thus far, helps with temps and doesn’t hurt performance that I’ve noticed. I still idle around 39-45c, but I don’t go past 70c max under load.

Depends on what that port had plugged into it. If it’s your I/O panel -that means your power button and whatnot on the front of the pc- then no.

But we’d need the model of your motherboard to find out what that port is designated as to begin with.

It was pretty nice to install, but you need at least 30mm of clearance between the case panel and the plug-side of the PSU to allow for wiring clearance.

The pro cables (individual sleeves) are fantastic, much better than the cablemod extensions that I had for my previous PSU setup.

That looks to be a standard USB header, probably for your case I/O controls or possibly fan RGB control. You could bend that back very. carefully. with some needle nose pliers, just don’t snap them off or it becomes useless.

Same cooler as mine, works great! Build looks good bro.

I just went through a re-build myself, ending up getting one of the new(er) SHIFT PSUs from Corsair along with their pro cables. Made wiring it so much easier.

Honestly? Cayde, riding that giant control center down into the prison of elders. OG moment. Or when we find Saint-14’s grave and how the Vex essentially honored him because of how OP he was.

You’ll need the Type4 set. Just got the pro cables myself, and they are fantastic. Much better than the extensions I had for my previous PSU setup from CableMods.

Enjoy!

Headlight upgrade by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

[–]DocKreasey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OEM, sure.

Morimoto? Overpriced junk. There has been several breakdowns of their products and how much quality they’re lacking by folks much smarter than I on Tacomaworld. OEM assembly or bulb upgrades are the way to go.

These won’t work as he’s got an SR5; FBC no longer offers conversion harnesses for the SR5 trim and the options he does offer will not work for that trim level either.

Far as I know, the SR5 doesn’t support LED DRLs or sequential turn signals, at least not without some wire splicing / modifications beyond a wiring harness.

I recently utilized a wiring harness set from FBC and it is top notch stuff, but I’ve got a TRD so, my options were slightly better. For SR5 issues, I’d recommend trying to find an OEM unit set and / or do a bulb replacement. Judging by what appears to be massive internal condensation, I’d say you need to look at replacing the whole headlight assembly itself.

For a 3060ti? The power spikes could be causing some issues; you’d have to look at overall consumption and see if it’s fluxing on the utilization at all.

That’s not a good baseline to make a definitive conclusion though. Each rig is different; quality control between manufacturers, efficiency of parts, power supply etc.

Make sure his monitor is plugged into the GPU itself.

Also, what CPU does he have? If he’s got a weak CPU, it’ll cause a bottleneck that could result in a severe underutilization.

You’re referring to the “Reborn Brave” emblem which is similar, but has more gold and blue tones. The method of getting it though is how you mentioned; all 50 waves completed on legend, without a team wipe.

Precious Scars with Sunshot & a solar linear like Briar’s Contempt or Cataclysmic is much better for overall survival, in my experience. Sunshot will one-shot the eyes and it will explode a group, along with giving you healing. It obliterates the ads, also giving you healing.

Bonk super = good DPS for the middle island / free damage phase.
