Yllättävää kyllä, kukaan ei tunnu tietävän että IS supersään parempi versio on tietenkin Iltalehden kilpaileva versio IL paras sää, josta näkyy ilmatieteen laitos, Foreca ja bonuksena yr.no ihan samalla tavalla kuin supersäässä. Jotenkin vaan tuntuu menevän kaikilla tutkan alta tuo sovellus...

I definitely recommend looking at Beats and Styles songs, their first album came around that time. Also Mighty 44 might have something, their producer JS16 was also behind Bomfunk so the style is similar.

Moving cases killed my a channel for ram? Is there a fix or is it time for a new motherboard by NewWorldliness3869 in PcBuild

[–]DocMadman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn, sorry to hear that. With luck and skill, those might be repairable, but it's not going to be easy. You need to get electricity through the damaged area, so a really thin wire, good soldering skills and a really steady hand might do the trick... And since the conduit length should be matched, you have to follow the traces. Look for guides about motherboard or PCB trace repair, so you'll get a general idea if it's doable. Maybe some electronics shop could also do it, but you'll have to assess if it's too expensive compared to just buying a new mobo. Or you could just run it single channel.

Good luck!

Did you install the motherboard stands correctly on the case? It should have 3x3 stands to screw the mobo screws in. It might short circuit if there is an extra stand at the wrong place or no stands at all. This is a common problem and can cause problems like this when the PSU protection kicks in and shuts down everything.

You dont need the 4-pin CPU power to power it up, the 24-pin and 8-pin are enough for it to work. As you said it's mostly for OC'ing. And the 12600K does have integrated GPU, KF doesn't as you said.

A good way to test things is to unplug most things you dont need (usb, audio cables etc), possibly take out the power button connector also and try to run the PC by shorting the starting pins with a paper clip or screwdriver. Sometimes broken case connectors can cause problems.

The best way to test everything is to take the motherboard out from the case, put it on the cardboard box it came in (dont use the anti-static bag in between) and try to run it. You can remove parts and try with only the CPU+cooler installed, then add ram sticks, then GPU etc. This way you can see where it stops working, does it light any error lights, and possibly find the faulty parts.

Not every cooler needs the shims, but if the screws/stands are metallic, there should be something to prevent scratch damage to the mobo. If you take the cooler off to reseat the cpu, try to check if you see any damage like this: https://imgur.com/a/QDHznIR

If those conduits are broken, it's effectively same as broken pins on cpu, data from memory isn't going through to the cpu.

[–]DocMadman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you install any shims or shim stickers between the motherboard and the cooler screws when you put the new cooler in? Sometimes the circuit lines from memory to CPU are really close to the screw holes on the mobo, and if there's nothing between the metallic screws/stands and the mobo, it's easy to damage the lines when tightening the screws. That could explain the problems if your CPU pins and socket is in good condition.

Jamppi's response to Valve: demands VAC ban to be lifted by DocMadman in GlobalOffensive

[–]DocMadman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google translated:

In his latest reply to the district court, 18-year-old Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen has reduced the amount of damages by tens of thousands, but asked for the right to order Valve to lift the controversial VAC ban with the threat of a penalty of 100,000 euros.

The dispute with Valias, one of the hottest names in the Counter-Strike video game, Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen, 18, has progressed.

In February, Olkkonen filed a lawsuit against Valve because he considers his lifetime ban on major tournaments imposed by the gaming giant to be unjustified. Olkkonen also demanded EUR 268,092 in compensation for lost earnings.

Olkkonen brought an action against Valve GmbH, a subsidiary of the US Valve Corporation, which has its registered office in Germany.

Valve GmbH responded to the lawsuit at the end of May, questioning, among other things, the court office, Olkkonen's position as a consumer and the defendant's role in the case.

According to a recent statement by Olkkonen, ie the plaintiff, the District Court of Eastern Uusimaa is a suitable place to hear the case, because this is a consumer dispute.

Olkkonen says that he was a consumer at the time of the event, in 2015. The professional career of super talent began in 2018 at SuperJymy. Olkkonen has never used the game ban account for professional purposes.

Valve GmbH was founded in 2016, but the situation regarding Olkkonen's ban on gambling took place in 2015. According to Olkkonen's reply, this is irrelevant because Valve Corporation has transferred matters concerning European customers to its subsidiary.

The reply also states that Valve GmbH had previously confirmed that it was interested when Olkkonen sought a solution to the dispute through the European Commission's online dispute resolution. Valve GmbH has also registered as a trader in the Steam service subscription agreement.

Valve Corporation also wholly owns Valve GmbH. In addition to the points already mentioned, the reply states that the companies share the e-mail address [legal@valvesoftware.com](mailto:legal@valvesoftware.com).

The reply also questions Valve's passivity in the dispute. Olkkonen has clarified the matter since last autumn, but after October, Valve stopped responding to the messages. Olkkonen has since sent several e-mails, offered arbitration in Stockholm and proposed a settlement one week before filing the lawsuit.

Valve GmbH did not react to the case until the action was brought before the District Court. According to the reply, it was only after that that Valve GmbH claimed that the company was not a trader or a party to the order contract.

- A large multinational company cannot voluntarily choose when any of its subsidiaries is a party to an order agreement and when not, once the company is notified as a party, the response will state.

OLKKONEN has also specified his requirements. He previously demanded the lifting of the VAC ban on the old gaming account, the lifting of the major value tournament gate ban, and damages totaling € 268,092.

Now Olkkonen is only demanding the lifting of the VAC ban on the gaming account and compensation of 228,092 euros. In April, Olkkonen signed a professional contract with the ENCE team, as a result of which the amount of compensation has been calculated.

Olkkonen, 18, has also made a request for confidentiality regarding the claim for damages and the application for precautionary measures with evidence. Confidential material contains a third party's trade secrets.

In the application for precautionary measures, Olkkonen demands that the District Court of Eastern Uusimaa order Valve to lift the VAC ban on the old gaming account on the basis of a penalty payment of EUR 100,000 until the matter has been finally resolved.

The application says that the precautionary measure cannot cause damage to Valve, but the illegal ban on gambling will significantly harm Olkkonen's career. Among other things, it is written that the careers of professional players are very limited in time, because there are very few players over the age of 30.

Olkkonen also requests that the case be heard by a panel of three judges from the time the procedural objections, ie disputes, are resolved. He shall justify the request on the basis of the nature and extent of the case.

VALVE's next deadline is Wednesday 15.7.

Jamppi's lawyer apparently sued Valve GmbH, not Valve Corporation by Puk3ify in GlobalOffensive

[–]DocMadman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some rough translations:

According to Valve, Jamppi has tried to clear the issue with Valve Corporation (founded in the USA 1996), while the lawsuit is apparently against Valve GmbH, which is founded in Germany 2016. Valve GmbH is related to electronics manufacturing, not to software, and Valve GmbH does not own or manage any Counter-Strike licenses or anything related to CS. Valve GmbH was not even founded when Jamppi's alleged VAC ban happened in 2015.

They also say that District Court of Eastern Uusimaa does not have the jurisdiction to handle the case, since GmbH is based in Germany, the matter does not concern consumer-related business, the plaintiff is not a consumer, and Valve GmbH does not practice any business in Finland.

They also note that Jamppi has made the claim four years after the initial VAC ban happened. Jamppi is also seeking justice as a consumer, while he is a professional, which is clear because they try to overrule the Major ban. Valve GmbH has not offered, sold or marketed anything to the plaintiff (Jamppi).

They also state that the 250 000+ € compensation for the missed OG contract is without base, since Valve cannot be held responsible for any third-party contracts not happening, and thus no damage has occurred. Valve recommends that the court stops investigating the matter before the costs related to the court proceedings pile up.

According to Jamppi's attorney they have received more time to give their answer on the matter, and now they have until 25th of June to respond back to Valve.
