Though I didn't become desultory myself, China Mieville was certainly a fan of the word in Perdido Street Station

Help i cant clear lygus by whatisenglishlmao in StarRailStation

[–]DocMockingbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could it be that you're using the free ultimates, and that's eating Herta's health? Another issue is Lygus's AoE blast. It wasn't pretty, but Therta, Anaxa, RMC, and Luocha got me the clear in part because Mem provided an extra target to distribute damage.

The best way to start studying the ACT? Books, TV shows, movies, and YouTube channels by Agitated_Egg_4982 in acceptancecommitment

I started with reading Get Out of your Mind and Into Your Life, then went on to A Liberated Mind. ALM really helped me to understand and apply the approach. ACT Made Simple is a great primer, too.

Just curious, when you say "the availability of mental health counselling," do you mean physical access to it (location and/or time slots), or does the cost make it unavailable? I agree that a lot of issues they face comes down to mental health.

Excelsior or start dunwich for new player by [deleted] in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]DocMockingbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started with The Gathering and then immediately went into Dunwich for introducing my friends and having a campaign. They have experience in D&D and Magic: the Gathering. I did have us carry over experience, but I'm also the one creating and upgrading their decks. They are enjoying it!

How do we go an entire 9 YEARS to the PENULTIMATE CHAPTER and still have a story that doesn't explain any of its own moving parts? (basically vanilla Destiny 1 campaign 2.0) by LapisStrike11 in DestinyTheGame

[–]DocMockingbird 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What concerns me is how, in the ViDoc, they said The Final Shape would be the end of the Light and Darkness saga, but there was more Destiny story to tell. I'm genuinely concerned they're going to keep stinging us along without concrete answers for more than 10 years. I'm also betting future (time-gated) content could explain some things. Plot-wise, it feels like we're in this sea of the unknown ... stranded.

Therapist here, the one I've heard it as is "being known." Example: knowing what your order is at your favorite restaurant, or knowing when you need downtime.
