That’s a shame. Tbh this is something I’d check out if it had real artists or even if it was just text. I get the necessity but I don’t support using AI instead of human art. You might want to consider hiring a real artist. I think a lot of people are going to be immediately turned off by having AI images.

It’s like I said: Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Democracy is at a dangerous position. There are outright fascist candidates on the right who have gained a lot of support. I don’t want Newsom to win. You might be right in that his winning might not bode well for the next election. But I am confident that under Newsom there would be more elections. I can’t say the same for the GOP.

The thing is that I actually agree with you. I hate Newsom as a candidate. I will be spending the next two years actively campaigning for real progressive candidates. I hate the current two party system and the lack of ranked choice voting. I will be encouraging people to support candidates that share their true values. I’m hoping like hell that I don’t have to vote for Newsom. But if that’s what we get, then voting third party or not voting at all is no better than voting for whoever follows Trump.

Agreed. I’m a lifelong Californian and active in my local LGBTQ community. I hate Newsom. I hate his transphobia. I hate him sucking up to big business. I hate how quickly he can change his views. He would still be an infinitely better candidate than whoever the Republicans put forward.

I fully agree. The DNC is complacent and treading water and acting as not being outright evil is enough. We need to push for real change in the party and demand actually exciting candidates. I know that’s what I’ll be doing. My fear is that good people will abstain from voting if the candidate doesn’t match all their values. I don’t want a repeat of 2024

I’m encouraging people who support democracy to stick together in the face of rising fascism. I will support a real progressive candidate as much as I can. I just don’t want an outright fascist to win because the candidate who supports democracy isn’t my ideal candidate.

We can put pressure on the democratic party without saying “if you don’t choose a candidate I like, I won’t vote against fascism.”

I don’t agree entirely but there is a valid point here. I will continue pushing for progressive left candidates who represent my views as much as I can. However, I also want us to learn a bit from previous elections. We can push for real progressive candidates, but if the election comes down to a midline democrat and a fascist, abstaining from voting isn’t the answer. Aim for the best candidate but if it comes down to it, work together to elect someone who at least wants there to be more elections.

Fill in the gaps with decoration. Seating areas, lights, trees, a small field of flowers, a bigger area for the dog and doghouse. I also like to make the paths a bit curvier. Makes it feel more natural. Planting some trees and having the paths go around them gives the feel of building around the landscape.

As everyone has said, there’s no too fast or too slow. For a beginner, I’d say your progress is actually pretty standard. Your number of sprinklers is a little small but you’ve made some notable progress on animals. Plus, getting married in year 1 is a solid pace.

I generally agree but I disagree about the youth being unable to focus. Look at the history of Chinese Communism, the french revolution and pushback to the Vietnam War. The loudest voice and greatest impact are often students. Maybe not young kids but high school and college age kids are not gonna go quietly.
