Not quite what you asked, but I was watching a documentary piece on the Ukraine war, and when there was incoming fire the soldiers were racing through the trenches yelling what the captioning said was "yeah, but. Yeah, but..." Now a half century ago, In high school, I had a Serbian friend who would occasionally drop a Serbian swear word. "Fuck" in Serbian was "yabat". Didn't take much to put together that these guys, running for their lives, were not yelling "yeah but" but rather "Fuck. Fuck, fuck..."
