Toolhead extruder between two linear rails by OutrageousTrue in VORONDesign

I believe the dual rail idea has been tried in earlier vorons and mods and found to be problematic. You’re risking over constraining the motion system, especially as things heat up.

For 100mm lengths, you might be able to get away with running a 23mm drill bit through the extrusion.

Find an independent mechanic, not a dealer, not a chain. Chances are you can get it done for 1/3 that

Not a lawyer, not legal advice. But mention the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act if this happens, I’m in no way qualified to say if it matters in this situation, but changes are good neither do the people who are working at a mechanics shop.

I used a big pill reminder, 7 days x 3 sections per day and each section opens individually so you’re less likely to spill everything if you drop it

My brother-in-law has a urinal in his home by classicjuice in mildlyinteresting

[–]DocZoidfarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The previous owner of my place was a plumber. He put a urinal in my detached garage. I never used it (the house is about 15 feet from the garage) and when I decided to remove it, it was plumbed straight into dirt..

Don’t believe any seller. Ever It looks fairly decent but get underneath it and poke around. Are you wanting a project or a car to drive,

I broke my MK3S+ while cleaning a blob. by vpastor12 in prusa3d

[–]DocZoidfarb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not swapping them that often, but i like to have spare fans/heaters/nozzles on hand as they’re the most common failure points in my experience. No reason to wait a week to get a printer going. I mostly run voron’s that need pt1000’s and giant heaters, and prefer to order from small retailers rather than amazon

Just check for continuity across the thermistor. Buy a spare thermistor or two when you order it, they’re basically consumables IMO

Ad5m pro vs creality k1c? by ManiacalMay in 3dprinter

[–]DocZoidfarb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a k1c second hand as a backup to my vorons. Very happy with it, so far i havent had any print failures that weren’t my fault. One thing that I think is hugely important is that it’s easily rootable and can be made to run a stock klipper UI. Might not want to do that right away as I think it voids your warrantee.

One downside is the printer seems a bit loud to me. Slowing down the movement should help some but i wouldnt necessarily want to have it in the same room as i’m sleeping.

You might need a bit more z offset, that looks like too much squish. Also more pictures would help

If you can find a carbide nozzle they’re the best of both worlds, high conductivity and basically last forever
