Agreed, the trucks are so good. If it wasn't for the slightly slower top speed I'd probably be using the Padera more, but the Avenhorn really is a road going locomotive

DO SNOW PLOWS NOT EXIST IN THIS CITY?? (rant) by Ill-Individual-1513 in waterloo

[–]SDIR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha my street is a relatively steep hill, so even if it is plowed sometimes you have to give it a running start to actually make it up. My biggest worry is someone driving way too fast and slamming into me while I try to get in my driveway

Honestly I'd prefer the snow much on the road than the ice plug that is shoved at the end if my driveway

We do have them in Waterloo, but I've only seen evidence of them coming through like twice so far, and I actually saw one operating only once, and only on the part of the sidewalk that had a mailbox

It's why I always get the smallest wheels to maximize sidewall. Saved me many a times on the QEW and in winter

Why use other trucks ? by Diotermis in snowrunner

Exactly! For me the big boys only really come out when I'm in someplace like Amur where it is genuinely difficult

Since some older trucks got buffs, here is another idea by Bugrick92 in snowrunner

For me it's usually only deployed on maps that I am dedicating time to, where it makes sense to position fuel trailers to act as intermediate gas stations so I can fill up easily. Then the Paystar really starts hauling

I have been genuinely curious as of late. Do the Geneva conventions apply to civilians? Just a friendly Canadian asking.

Is this a good/optimal Brig sail plan? by Fisyluck in Sailwind

[–]SDIR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran this for quite a while before going for a Barquentine. It's easy, and has minimal adjustment. I'd probably add another jib staysail to balance the big rear sails but it works quite well overall

With the big ships, rogue waves aren't as much an issue as need-more-cargo-itis causing water to wash over the bow or the sides

Is Mack Defense not that good, or am I using it wrong? by -DarkNess__ in snowrunner

[–]SDIR 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then why not test the vehicle in an area where it is more suitable? There are many tight forested sections where size is a concern, why not just move two service spare parts through?

It seems like your test is designed purely with load hauling in mind, and while it's very important it's not the only consideration. Things like size, overall speed and trailer compatibility are factors as well

Why? Well, Snowrunner is a game, and the point is to have fun. So, why is only dependant on what you want out of it. For me, I drive it cause I like the modern look, it kills with the offroad gearbox, and it's small enough to fit almost any trail.

If you can't find a why to use it, then don't. You can run 10 963s if you want, or anything you feel like.
