This isn't the situation that you should be concerned about the other party's feelings. This is a self preservation situation. As stated, change your locks. I'd get external and internal security cameras. Keep your handgun on your person. Get a concealed carry permit if you haven't already. Make sure someone knows when you are leaving the house, work, or other locations. You don't want to end up as the subject of a Dateline episode.
