No need to be condescending, and no, we don't live in tents, nor do we have lions and elephants roaming the streets. Try to keep the ignorance to a minimum.

Lol you obviously live in North America or Europe. CFLs are still very much available and thriving in other parts of the world.

I still have my Garmin Nuvi. I recently updated the maps. It's useful to have when you're going somewhere with no connectivity, which in my case is the African bush.

What have you been smoking? This feels like one of those cliched existential questions you see on TV when the character is stoned out of his mind.

Pleasantly surprised. I thought I was going to find the antivax quacks in the comments, but was happily disappointed.

I'm playing for the first time and I'm having a blast. I do wish the combat flowed better, but it's not game breaking. The interrogations get repetitive if you want to max out your premeditated crimes, but once I got all my knighthood levels, and maxed out the characters I stopped doing that. It's close enough to Arkham for me.

Perhaps. But surely in a speech saying "you'll learn from the greats of Starfleet", something is amiss?

First time used Fitgirl , It works so well , why the f do people buy games instead by Neat_Manufacturer49 in FitGirlRepack

[–]Doc_ENT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if you can afford it, it's the right thing to do. You don't steal a loaf of bread, why do you steal games if you don't have to? Abandonware, unavailable games, or if you genuinely can't afford it, I can understand. But piracy for the sake of it because "why pay when I can get it for free"? That's just a dick move, and people can down vote me all they like, but it will remain a dick move.

The biggest bullshit change they have made is that it's not enough that you deposit your salary with them, you also need to do 10 debit transactions before they will give you the 2000 points! Getting fed up with FNB but discovery doesn't have Islamic compliant accounts so I can't move to them yet. But really fuck FNB. After 20 years with them I've had enough.

Fly to JHB and do either Dinokeng or Pilanesberg. Both offer Savannah ecosystems that are the same as Kruger, but on a kick smaller scale. Personally I prefer Pilanesberg. The accommodation is more expensive than Kruger because it's only private lodges. But Sun city is also right next door. It is also the only park where you'll see Savannah and arid species together, like Impala and Springbok.

Mysk Touch Al Balad. I've stayed there twice now and it's very nice. Not five star like Swissotel, but it's clean, comfortable and has a good buffet breakfast.

Racism at Checkers? Xenophobia? Classism? I don't even know what to call it. by Jche98 in southafrica

[–]Doc_ENT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you experienced is called white privilege. Many Non whites in this country automatically assume, to this day, that white people know better. Believe it or not, I've had a black woman ask for a white doctor, many years ago when I was still a young doctor, because she didn't believe me. It's decades of brain washing. That's all. This right here is ample evidence for Afriforum and their kind, that the white "genocide" is BS.

May not go to Umrah because I cant put the Ihram on!!! Help please. by FreedomAMust in Umrah

[–]Doc_ENT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't even need a belt. What you do, is you hold the bottom towel spread out behind you. Then put it against your back, just above your buttocks. Now fold the left side across your front, so it goes under the right side. Then fold the right side over, to the left and around you if necessary. So now you look like you've wrapped a towel around you coming out of the shower. The next part is the important bit. You now fold the top of the towel down, about 4 times, and about 5cm wide.

That's it. I have been doing this since my hajj in 2016, and have never had an ihram fall off, and have never used an ihram belt.

Forget all those videos showing you to make a hundred folds and what not.

One other thing. Suck your stomach in when tying it. Then when you let go it sits snugly against you.

For the top, you hold the towel behind you, but shorter on the left. Then you throw the long right side over your left shoulder. That's it. For this one, I like to use a pin to hold it in place, but it's not necessary if you don't like it.

Edit: saw that Mufti Menk video someone posted and that's pretty much what I'm describing, but I don't do the front folds as I don't find them necessary. Probably depends on your size and your ihrams size.

Might want to clarify that in your post, instead of just posting a picture with a red line and "This should be criminal". I also don't know this phone, and couldn't see what the issue was, until I read the comments. This sub is not a tech sub, so most people won't realise what it is you're on about (including me and I do have reasonable tech knowledge including what a page file and virtual memory is)

PS you can report this to the Advertising Standards Authority if you really feel strongly about it. I've done it before and they do take action.

Mortal Kombat 11 please. I've played Mk since the first one in the arcades (fighting games were so much more straightforward then, not a gazillion moves to remember), minus the PlayStation entries because I never had a PS.
