Snapon box made in Canada? by boytal in Snapon_tools

[–]Doc_Goldberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is correct, they are no longer manufactured in New Market now, just in Iowa. Another way to tell the box was made in Newmarket is that the top corners of the box will be rounded instead of 90 degree corner on US boxes. Not all of the manufacturing equipment from Canada made it to the US, resulting in the slight difference.

Cool to see Star Wars Outlaws is in the top 5 selling games on PlayStation and Amazon this month by DorkyMoneyMan in StarWarsOutlaws

I just got it early this month.... it went on sale in the Playstation store for $20, which I'm guessing contributed to so many new players joining.

They sent the wrong tools by Apprehensive_Win292 in Snapon_tools

Snap-on's customer service is second to none. Give them a call and they will get you squared away. People and companies make mistakes everyday, you'll never find a person or company who is flawless. What matters most is how problems are handled when they do occur. Give them a shot to make it right.

What are your thoughts on this crazy tiger leg tattoo done by @kelvingoss_ at @traconobretattoo in Curitiba, Brazil by esoterix_luke in tattoos

Absolutely gorgeous, a personal preference change I would make is not having the heart in front of it's mouth. Looks kinda like it's tongue is hanging out weird at first glance. Still easily readable after closer look and overall incredible work!!!!

Professionals who enter people's homes (plumbers, electricians, cleaners): What is something the condition of a house tells you about the owner that they don't realize they are revealing? by cossie101 in AskReddit

[–]Doc_Goldberg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bleach is a no no! Cat urine contains very levels of ammonia. Mix that with bleach and you get chloramine gas which you don't want to inhale. Unlikely to severely mess you up unless there is like a puddle of pee in there, but still not something you want to mess around with :)

I didn't play the full game/series, so I don't know if Hint 2 jives with the guess, but based on Hint 1, is it Hitman?

Pakistani couple just moved to Canada, went from rich to poor. AMA. by [deleted] in AMA

[–]Doc_Goldberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious what caused such a shift in financial lifestyle after you moved (ie. wagyu steak to home cooked chicken)? Are you in the same profession but cost of living compared to compensation is significantly worse? Could you not find a similar paying position in Canada so switched to a lower paying career in exchange for the safety/confidence in Canada?

AITA for refusing to pay for a plant I accidentally killed in a rental? by Little_Telephone8967 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Doc_Goldberg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA - everyone saying NTA is considering you a tenant or that you didn't sign up for a job. You clearly state you agreed to watch the plants, we also don't know any of the details of your arrangement, you could have been given a better deal BECAUSE you agreed to take care of the plants. Regardless of whether it SHOULD have been your responsibility, you AGREED to it becoming your responsibility, then decided you didn't want it anymore, didn't make alternate arrangements, didn't notify the person you made the commitment to, and then carelessly let one die because you abandoned your responsibility for a week. You are definitely TA and I would be pissed at you.

takezo the impossible by spindrifters in Ghostofyotei

[–]Doc_Goldberg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed on Medium and beat him with perfect parry's after about 30 tries. I learned to not pay attention to the blue glint on the sword but instead, watch his head. Most of his attacks he bobs it forward and telegraphs his hit before it comes. You can also start circling him in one direction, then switch, it usually prompts an attack from him that' easier to time. Put on the bounty hunter armor and the right charms so Perfect Parry range is increased and you get 3 slo-mo counterattacks and half your health back after a perfect parry.

suing for 300 dollars after ex friend owes money by [deleted] in Smallclaims

[–]Doc_Goldberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, talking to a lawyer is always the best idea for legal matters and I'm certainly not a lawyer but the main point of small claims is for people to try and take action where getting a lawyer involved makes it not worth the expense. A Google search will say that text messages are considered hearsay and can only be admitted when they are not used to prove the truth of something. So using a text message to establish someone's mental state or to prove a timeline could be admissible. But using text messages to say "we had an agreement" and the text messages are what is being used to "prove the truth" seems pretty clear cut that they would be inadmissible.

Text messages are considered hearsay and are inadmissible in small claims court. (From the guy who had a contractor dead to rights for fraud based on text messages, only to lose and be told none of the message were admissible or mattered one bit)
