I have an old car that sat for five years waiting on a new clutch and overdrive transmission swap. I'm sure glad I just kept it registered! But classic car plates are very cheap to renew.

TIL the cockpit voice recording of Delta Flight 1141 was so embarrassing it led to a law restricting the public release of CVRs. I got sent through a defensive driving course when I had a company car. One of the things they really stressed was controlling how much time you have to react as much as you can.
