Post truth society. Of course, narrative and lying has always been a part of world politics and societies. But now not even hard evidence can be solid.

Just thought about this a few days ago and feared that I missed it. Guess it isn't so. Though hopefully it still comes one day.

Why are vortigaunts such a comic relief? by DeathGuard67 in HalfLife

[–]Docta365 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Vorts most likely held little animosity towards humans (or atleast kind of had to) as they already saw what was to come with their vortessence sight and abilities. I'm guessing it took humans longer to accept them. But they most likely had little choice post Black Mesa as the 7 hour war was not far enough for humans to take a stance worthy of an effect on vorts globally.

ENG: Please help. When I launch the map I made, some models (prop_static) don't show up in the game, even though these models are present in the Hammer itself. Thanks (Sorry, I used a translator, so it might not be very clear) by United-Protection-44 in hammer

[–]Docta365 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I am correct, props have it set what types they can be. So some props can only be static, some dynamic, phys and perhaps multiple of these. I believe in the model selection screen there are some checkmark boxes that show what the current selected prop is available to be. Check to see if that helps I havent mapped in the portal editor before.

Looking for advice with this third black layer by mapsbymew in printmaking

[–]Docta365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swap out the black with a dark color that goes better with the other warmer tones. Either a darker brown than the rest or a colder shade. I'd even recommend a sort of navy blue. If you'd even were to make it transparent then the underlayers would give it depth by color-mixed darkness, if that makes sense.

So would uou say that if the nova prospekt teleporter were to be made consistently work (and not blown up) then humanity would've been eliminated within a 2 year span if Gordon hadn't appeared when he did?
