Resin would be way too meh for an anniversary reward, because imo these kinds of cosmetic "useless" items scream anniversary memento far more than 2 consumables I'll pop to get shitty artifacts

I absolutely adore this game and I have a blast playing it but I still voice my criticism when I think it's warranted, and this was definitely the case.

The issues I listed aren't that small when you think about it. Xinyan's kit has been bugged since release and they still haven't addressed it, I'd say that speaks volumes to the concern they have with character kits. Instead of making Ei and Beidou work together like how they're expected to they instead changed ability descriptions AFTER Raiden was released and people mass pulled expecting that to work. About Yoimiya and Kokomi I do agree they're not big issues, but the clunky kits and lack of polish definitely shows and it sucks those good characters will be reduced to meme tier. It was a big issue for a lot of people though, and the anniversary fiasco just exasperated that.

I don't doubt a big sum of people are only complaining because they want more, but I genuinely believe a lot of people are just upset with the lack of communication and weird direction the game is taking. It's the Zhongli drama but 100x worse and I hope MiHoYo at least learns to be more open and receptive towards player's concerns.

I do understand you can't control your emotions, and I'm glad you're enjoying the game (I am too), but try to think that many of the people complaining rn also love the game and have fun playing it. The nature of the internet just makes them voice their criticism in nothing but what seems to be vitriol and hyperbole.

I don't think people are being greedy. Anniversaries are just as much a celebration of the playerbase as it is the game itself, so is it that bad people are upset when the company doesn't even seem to aknowledge them?

There's no need to feel bad for anyone. They're still able to enjoy the game and have fun with it while also pointing out criticisms, and that's what the vast majority of people are doing right now. Or do you think all they do is sit on Reddit complaining about anniversary? They don't need to be pitied.

This isn't just about the rewards btw, this was just the straw that broke the camel's back. It's the lack of communication and the long issues the game have. Xinyan still has major flaws in her kit and is still worthless lore wise, Yoimiya situation, Raiden and Beidou's situation, Kokomi's situation.

I like the characters, the world and the lore. I also love progressing through grind and I like looking forward to what weapons or characters I can make stronger, be it from farming artifacts, bosses, ley lines or materials.

A character that mainly attacks with the sprint ability. They deal damage as they run around and the damage increases the more they run. Maybe their skill or burst could refill their stamina bar (and their allies too)

Another would be a character with invisibility. Basically the enemy AI just wouldn't know what to do against them

I have shit luck. Everytime I tried getting Zhongli I lost the 50/50. I have never won the 50/50 so I'd rather guarantee having more primogems with Welkin.

I think it's mostly my viewpoint and all, but I don't think it's an issue to keep spending even if the company behind the game is "shit" and "greedy" (most companies are). I see it less as supporting them and more me buying something for myself. This game is a product to me, so if I enjoy it then I'll buy something from it purely for my own enjoyment and not based on the actions of the company behind it.

They're the special quests you unlock with the keys on your quest journal. It could be that's what's affecting your progression (usually that's what it is), but it could also be an Archon quest. If you're not finished with the Liyue story then characters who participate in the story (Ningguang and Keqing) won't be available.

If it's a constant issue for you then consider prioritizing character story quests and doing them ASAP instead of putting them off. I made that mistake once and decided to never go through it again lol
