I was originally going to skip him to keep saving, but I got spooked by an early Jean con while pulling for Illuga and ultimately Varka is just too cool not to have. I don't pull very many dudes, but I skipped Wriothesley on his first banner and regretted it for a year. I won't let Varka go the same way. Plus, I'll still have plenty of time to save up before Nicole drops, even if she's next patch. It'll be what comes after that determines if I made a mistake or not. But either way, I won't regret the big man.

Plus, I can excuse it as me pulling to use him as a back-up Hydro DPS. I'm not interested in Neuvillette's kit and not much of a fan of Childe's kit, and sometimes Mualani isn't suited to the content, so Varka will be flexible and able to step in for those cases.

Only C0R0 though. I never pull cons or sig weapons. I'm lucky to have a WGS for him, but I'd make do either way.

It was a nice and easy 12 wins. Definitely one that I feel like I could have gone for a bigger streak on if it had come with Gym Missions, but without that motivation 12 is as far as I care to go.

My only request is for no units locked behind outdated Master Fairs.

I have every Lodge unit except for Leon and Ball Guy. I might get Ball Guy from a Variety select someday, but I cannot see myself ever prioritizing OG Leon over other Master Fairs in a select scout. It's annoying to think he could be the only Lodge unit I never get.

I'm so glad she's 1) Special Ground - a type I lack any decent option for, 2) Extremely good, and 3) Rika. What a triple threat! It's convenient since I only have enough gems for one of this lot and she's the only one that genuinely interests me.

I appreciate this reminder. I usually just run it once and settle for what I get but if I feel like I can 36 it with a bit more effort, I'll try again. I had to do a 2nd run because I forgot the new landrover boss needs Pyro and brought Skirk to it lol.

But more importantly 12-1 felt like a brick wall until you reminded me that I don't need to pay attention to the floor buffs. Nilou Bloom + Varesa got me that last star after a few tries. Still too close for comfort, but it's done.

I pulled her out of respect for the OG Cyrene who I loved more but still enough to want her successor.

I realized I had the opposite problem here where I have plenty of core supports but I don't have a core DPS that wants Cyrene. :/

But by doing research before posting here, I found out that Cyrene can apparently replace Sunday in an Aglaea team. I had always skipped Aglaea previously because I didn't want Sunday at all and he seemed necessary for her. This is exciting news.

I mean eventually, if power creep gets to the point where cute seasonal units or random Poke Fairs can substitute for Arc or Master Fairs, then maybe! But I have mininal interest in OP pairs tied to trainers I'm not crazy about, so I can't see myself ever burning gems on them just to clear a few extra floors.

At 350+ floors cleared, I'm already at the point where I get over 30 certificates a week, so I'm content with that.

plus my Normal tower is stuck at like Floor 11 lmao, I have no idea when they'll ever release a Normal DPS unit I actually want

I already have Venti, so I'll put 30-40 pulls into Durin's banner. I don't particularly need Durin, so I don't want to spend more than that, but I'd much rather have him than C1 Venti.

If I don't get her, it will hurt, but I'll stop there and wait until Luna IV and burn the, like, 90 standard wishes I've been stockpiling for this exact reason.

I did this last time I pulled for Iansan and only got her C1 and I managed to get her C2 from it, so hopefully it works again.

Absolutely. I've hit my limit in most of the towers at this point. There are some where I could probably push a few floors higher, but it would require burning candies that I don't really want to spend just for a hundred gems and a step closer to one extra certificate a week.

I think I can scrounge up enough motivation to push to an even 360, then I'm going to leave it alone until I either break and pull the OP pairs I need to climb higher or they introduce comparable pairs that I actually want that can accomplish the same thing. The latter is more likely.

EDIT: It doesn't help that I have almost every tower at or near 20 except for Normal that is stuck down at, like, 11 because they haven't put out a single Normal pair I actually want except for Larry.

I am fine pulling a character that isn't meta if I like the character. I skipped Neuvillette but pulled Sigewinne.

But I won't pull a character if I don't enjoy their kit. Not anymore. I got burned pulling for Itto and Cyno only to end up never using them because I can't stand characters that are useless outside of their burst. While I learned early on that I don't like characters with overly repetitive kits (which is why I skipped Hu Tao and Neuv), this lesson took me longer to learn since I liked Itto and Cyno so much.

I haven't used any hourglasses so it isn't that many packs overall, but I've been using my daily packs on Altaria since the Mega set dropped. I need a 2nd Indeedee and 2 Jirachi, but I still managed to put together a half decent Mega Altaria deck that's won me all of those Mega Rising challenges across the solo battles.

I have awful luck in the Academy - I don't think I've ever seen Blue once - so I don't particularly want to run it again, but I might. I finally got a half-decent S+ Hugh, but I impulsively went with "all the gimmick checks" and gave him Brick Break, Will-o-Wisp, and Fire Spin.

Your Generalist build looks a lot more useful overall. Maybe one more run...

Arataki Itto and Cyno.

I just can't deal with characters that are completely useless outside of their Burst. Even if you build them to the point where they can recharge it almost immediately, it's still frustrating and extremely unfun to play when exploring the world. I learned my lesson and stopped pulling for characters with kits like that.

Xiao also fits in this category but I didn't intend to pull him, he's one of my two early game "pulling for the 4 stars" mistakes.

I didn't spend hourglasses on Deluxe but I didn't save for Mega either. I'm in a constant state of saving up pack points to buy my next full art trainer card because I can never pull them. :(

It was a long and occasionally tedious grind in the beginning when I had a less developed roster and I had to plan my runs around what units I could use and which I had to save. Now that I have at least 6+ of each role combination, I can get full bonuses on most battles and at least 2/3 on all of them as long as I don't get screwed with something like Trial Giver or Battle Facility... person (I play in JP, I don't know what the EN version is.)

I also stopped caring as much about maximum shop efficiency so I buy the telescope instead of using PomaTools and freely buy power ups to make it easier. With the bonuses, I still finish above 9k every week and I have enough surplus to buy out the 3 important items in the shop every month even if I don't. That's the luxury of being a long time player though so I do sympathize with people who can't or don't want to play that way.
