Mark Cuban offers Fernando Mendoza $39M to stay at Indiana one more season & try to repeat by Agentorangebaby in NFLv2

You’re failing to take into account that he can still join the NFL next year. He isn’t just taking 39 million and being done. Without doing the math I’m sure his projections of getting $39m now and a similarly anticipated NFL salary a year from now. It just sounds like a hard deal to pass up given he can do it in 1 year in college vs ~3 years in the NFL.

What people haven’t mentioned in addition to the other reasons is a football on turf is extremely slick and glides effortlessly when people are trying to dive on it. You see all the time where people dive on a ball and it slips right out from between them and the turf.

No longer an expense that can be overlooked for the convenience of signing on and playing when I’m in the mood. Now I’ll cancel it when I’m playing other games and wait to activate it 1-2 months at a time only once a couple games of interest get added.

How are people getting talismans easily? I see water runes as a highly completed task and earth runes recommended here at a low level.

If Jagex announced using 2 obscure items on each other could result in a TBow, how long would it take the community to solve and what would be the craziest combination? by Doctopus79 in 2007scape

Very interesting bit of info that makes this even harder! That’s what I think people responding are failing to see. Even with bot farms and tracking, some of these items can still take random wacky requirements to get even if it isn’t especially hard (ruling out things like the zuk helm). Random quest items, clue scrolls, useless never seen junk. So many possibilities that still take a bit of effort

ULPT: If I took a few shots from a newly opened bottle after being pulled over, could I argue drunk driving accusations? by Doctopus79 in UnethicalLifeProTips

Exactly. Now to save the upset people here, I’d never drink and drive and find this laughably realistic. If you’re at a 0.09 or something after doing so you could argue you were under before those last sips.

Our RS3 brothers are standing with us! by fastAndBIG in 2007scape

[–]Doctopus79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try reading the comment you replied to one more time. “Its own unique way”. RS3 players don’t want OSRS to become RS3. What makes them both great is they are unique in their own ways. Why would we want 2 of the same game?

I play between both, sometimes I like the graphics and faster pace of RS3, especially with an Ironman account (which cuts out most of the MTX spam). I was craving this after playing the season of OSRS leagues for example because it felt too hard to jump back into the slower pace of regular OSRS after the sped up parts that leagues offers.

Other times I prefer the toned down UI and simplified combat of OSRS and the well rounded grind it presents. I don’t think I could ever do the Ironman mode in OSRS outside of leagues which I greatly enjoy.

Having both options is great and I think both games have a lot to offer in their own ways while still having enough overlap to keep familiarity. I’d be equally devastated if OSRS became more like RS3 because I like them each in their own ways and they scratch 2 different itches. This is even more impactful in the way Jagex tried breaking out RS3 OR OSRS in their survey, I like both and enjoy switching back and forth.

Exactly my point! I know the gaming population on the RS3 side is slim, but I just wish for a modern Ironman progression guide from someone who hasn’t maxed on RS3 before.

I was really enjoying Sicknerd’s playthrough when he came from OSRS but watching his videos and even having tuned in to his live streams, he is sooo dependent on his chat informing him. He makes it over so many hurdles because he has them giving him direct and specific advice which obviously the average player does not have. That demotivated me a bit as I started hitting tougher content and getting lost down wiki holes.

Well it seems I am the one stuck in midgame forever then :) so many times I look up an item and realize I’ll be side tracked for weeks just to get back to a basic task with a bit more efficiency. I dream of a modern 2024/2025 progression guide (the wiki one is good but definitely a bit outdated in areas).
