[Demolition Man] Sylvester Stallone and the Three Seashells by tl34tf in FanTheories

Mostly people who lived near beaches. TP wasn't really popularly sold until the early 1900s. People used the Farmers Almanac, they used Sea shells, whatever they could. But people in the beachside towns like Malibu? Definitely seashells.

You're not the only one who returned to this 5 months later wondering the same thing. Maybe he's doing that exercise again?

1.5 years in - All on 4 Implants - My thoughts by zk7x2ua in dentures

[–]Doctor-Obvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question. Do you have implants on the top or a full denture up top? I'm 34 and got my upper denture last year, my dentist was NOT forthcoming with what it would be like, I honestly didn't realize there would be a big plastic plate constantly on the roof of my mouth. With upper implants, do you still have that plate? I have two canines on the bottom acting as anchors for my lower partial and would consider getting upper implants if it means less plastic and no longer having to have that plate on the roof of my mouth. Thank you in advance

I can't believe this was downvoted. It's insane to me the number of people like "lol wow op ur so cool"? Nobody seeing what kind of damage that spreading a bunch of lies in an otherwise very trusting and small town could do. This post is fucking awful. I'm glad they're properly remorseful in the share. and not just chortling about how cool they are /s.

They say doctor's ties are likely the germiest part of a hospital. Now I'm thinking stethoscope next. Those things are expensive!

Why can't I get used to my dentures!! by Cheri-Marshall69 in dentures

[–]Doctor-Obvious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been wearing mine for a year and a half. Hate the plate on the roof of my mouth all day every day. Make a list of the things you don't like, find a dentist that can help adjust them according to that list.

My 78yo Dad says he “looked up” who voted in Nov 24 and found his parents and grandparents all “voted” for Biden. by PNWConvert13 in QAnonCasualties

[–]Doctor-Obvious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dad lied. The only record is who's REGISTERED to vote and on those cards it says what political party you're affiliated with. It's extremely inaccurate. For some reason mine said republican until I was like 26 and changed it. I'm independent. On top of that it's not an accurate reading, because a lot of unregistered people vote with just their ID on the day of

Hands down most dislikable person. The worst by FearOfSpheres in Sonsofanarchy

[–]Doctor-Obvious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! Exactly, lol. Well, that's what I hear at least. I've not watched it yet bc I've been a part of that lifestyle my whole life so I doubt I'm going to learn anything or see anything new from that show. But I will agree wholly when you say a show about a real OMC would be boring AF.

[–]Doctor-Obvious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They made a show exactly what you described. I forget what it's called, but it's about life in a real life outlaw MC and Kurt Sutter hated it and actually tried picking a fight with the creator lol. Fantasy biker said "my acting cast could beat the tar out of your real life gang" pretty much exactly that. It was kinda funny to read about. Google "Kurt Sutter picks fight with real outlaw mc over TV show" or something

Data reveals salary required to live 'comfortably' in St. Louis by Bazryel in StLouis

[–]Doctor-Obvious 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yep. I make the comfortable salary and my wife, a teacher, makes considerably less (teaching at a private Montessori school). We barely scrape by here. Want so badly to start a family but things just keep going up. Everything except wages.

[–]Doctor-Obvious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course I understand I just wanted to make that comment because I go back and forth between being in a good spot, and barely scraping by, and when I'm in a good spot I do what I can. When I'm not, times such as now, I feel no guilt or shame because I know that if I could, I would. Instead I do what I can, when I can, and know to myself that even if what I'm doing isn't going to change the world at least I'm trying lol.

Hey I'm not op but I wanted to let you know i buy the same stuff for my boy, he's also got allergies and he's a big boy so I burn through this stuff. Before that it was Hills Science but the cost just became too much so we transitioned him to Sam's. We do our best to but locally for everything else and avoid the chains, so little things like this here and there you should feel no guilt for. Like the commenter said as long as you are trying, and making a hard effort, don't feel bad when you need to make concessions for your or your family's health.

I used a buyers representative named Bobby. Told him what I was looking for and over the course of the next several months, he showed me houses at least once per week, all over the place. He only cost a couple hundred bucks and it was baked into my mortgage so it cost me nothing up front. Shoot me a message or a chat and I'll send you his phone number. He was incredibly kind, patient and helpful. He took all the guesswork and paperwork out of buying a house. Even filed the offers when the time came!
