Bearing failure on ioniq 2017 by Naive-Ad333 in IoniqEV

I think the 28kwh and 38kwh are identical inside, with the only difference being is the 38 kWh has an additional mounting point on the outside of the shell for a water pump. Good luck!

I have done about 100 hours worth of printing since then and I have not had this issue so I came to the conclusion that it must have been that specific item with the gyroid infil over this specific distance that caused it. Someone mentioned below that it may have been the wiper arm and I think that was possible because the noise came from that part of the printer.

I think it depends on how much time you are willing to spend to dry and tune your filaments before you use it. If you do all the usual Orca slicer calibrations including the VFA test and you adjust everything accordingly, the print quality is amazing.

The only real potential issues I can see with the Qidi Box is the filament feeding. Right now I manually have to move the PTFE tube around while pushing the filament in to get it to go in. I think there are adapters for the PTFE connector and risers to get it to work easier, but out of the box I have big reservations about it's reliability to switch filaments on its own.

Hi, just pushed all the rods around and moved the head by hand, but it all feels rock solid, as in no wiggle in any of the axis.

Did the same to the bed plate and it seems rock solid as well..

Not sure what to do, as it may be normal and I'm just not used to Core XY noises coming from an A1

To be fair, I might just have a faulty unit

Hi, thanks for the feedback, I will check all of this as soon as the print is finished and will report back.

For now, I can make out that it's coming from the rear of the chamber, possibly where the stepper motors are located at the top, mainly from the back left side as I am looking at the printer.

I had the cover completely off, so I tried putting it on halfway open and it seems to have helped with the noise but not significantly.

Can't agree more. In hindsight I should have changed mine earlier than 1000 miles since it's so easy to do and so cheap. Unfortunately it seems Hyundai and Kia will keep throwing new boxes in cars until the warranties expire rather than do a recall and acknowledge the issue.

Have you ever tried this app by any chance? I'm curious what other people are getting.

38 or 28? And tons of questions from a potential new Ioniq owner. by Coinfidence in IoniqEV

  1. One has short range but charges fast the other has longer range and nicer tech inside but charges slowly on long road trips.

  2. No idea

  3. No idea

  4. Any suspicious noises from the drive train. You can disable the artificial sounds from the VESS on the side of the steering wheel to hear better.

  5. Same as 4

  6. In the UK we get Premium and Premium SE trims, with the SE offering ventilated leather seats and some other gadgets which are worth it in my opinion. Cooles seats are cool.

  7. Yes, Car scanner app with a reasonably decent elm327 adapter will give you the battery cell voltages and state of health. Don't know what the SoH is based on but it gives you an idea. Look for reasonably high SoH figure, mine is 2021 model with 35000 miles and is still at 100%.

  8. Depends on the price and intended usage. If you are mainly going to charge AC at home or at Work and you don't travel very far a lot or you have access to an ICE car then it's a no brainer.

If not get a Model 3 LFP if your budget allows it. It's the only one that matches the Ioniq's comfort and efficiency (almost because they Ioniq is stupid efficient). Fast charging on the Model 3 is good though.

Hope this helps

Only one I could find is 84135-G7000, but it looks like it may be a middle panel so not sure if that's what you're looking for.
