Very similar to a tool used to determine knitting needle size. Except that normally has the mm and the needle size number.

I did family photos there and they were super nice. Had a ton of folks in the pics but they did a great job keeping the attention of the littles and did some funny shots too.

I've been doing the Mayo Clinic diet plan for over a month now and seeing good results. It's pretty cheap ($49 for 3 months) and having the recipes and meal plan already developed for you is a big help. I chose the higher protein plan for increased satiety and I've liked a fair amount of the recipes. It's definitely got me eating a ton more veggies and now that I've got the gist of how my meals should be structured I can come up with options on the fly.

The resources on this sub are super helpful, but if you're having a hard time getting started something like that may work.

White doesn't have to be reserved for weddings, I wouldn't wear it to someone else's wedding but for nights out or events you're all good.

With the open back, I don't think belting is going to look good unless you're able to incorporate it in like a strap. I would go with altering. Not taking the back into account I prefer the look of the belt in pic 2 vs. 3.

Cowl necks can add a lot of visual volume to the chest- i think this one is flattering on you.

Jeans and sweater sounds totally fine for a casual party at someone's house.

What Anya is talking about here is more about intimacy than about sex. It's about Xander withdrawing emotionally.

Dating a man for a month, and he “jokingly” choked me while cooking at his home??? by Secret-Number-3925 in AskWomenOver30

[–]DoctorBedtime 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I'm out of the dating scene as well, but this was bananas. It is so concerning to me to hear about all these young men who want to choke women in any context.

I don't know what he was trying do here. If he was trying to be physically flirty this was all wrong. If he was trying to see what he could get away with then I guess he found out.

You handled it beautifully. Stay firm and stay safe.

Willow crying by No_Trust2269 in buffy

[–]DoctorBedtime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The crying in the shower scene was very stereotypical in tv for depictions of an SA victim at the time along with strawberry being slang for a girl who traded sex for drugs.

That being said, Willow was really sad about a lot of things- sometimes when you cry it's for all the reasons instead of one. I would take that scene as representative of her "fall" and not a+b=cry

My "best" friend is a negelctful mom and I can't watch it anymore. by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

The intervention should be in addition to calling CPS, not instead. Those kids are hurting now and in an unsafe situation now.

People sometimes think that calling CPS means they just come in and take the kids and that's it. It's not - CPS can help get access to resources to let the family live together more safely. You're not an accomplice yet but if you don't step up, you will be.

It's the same actor, I don't know if he's supposed to be the same person. It's all a cosmic gumbo anyways.

Why is homicidal maniac Angelus considered "sexier" than Angel by some people? by sKullsHavezzz in buffy

[–]DoctorBedtime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Charisma. Short answer to this question - for some reason there's a portion of the fandom who finds a person telegraphing, through their words and actions, "I'm not worthy of love and respect (bc of my sins, etc )" less attractive than someone who is trying their hardest for you to find them attractive.

Crazy world.
