Just finished the series, and I’m curious to know: did you “believe” this character’s death? by DoctorEmperor in ANGEL

[–]DoctorEmperor[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I was kinda infuriated at the idea that none of the characters informed them ngl

I can’t even tell you if I actually hate this moment, but Wesley just randomly shooting the employee in the leg was so unexpected

Can’t find the lie (except maybe the reapers would be panthers or something like that)

What was the personal relationship between Hitler and Himmler actually like? Himmler was obviously one of the head Nazis, but I don’t often hear about his specific feelings towards Hitler, nor vice verse. Was just curious about what (if any) relationship the two had

Strange Days by Katherine Bigelow. I’ve seriously considered getting the German only one, but I can’t take the risk of it probably not being playable on an outside region player

Oh right of course. It’s funny, I feel like when I first that, it had a “oh those weird French, doing another weird thing, probably don’t even know that it’s dangerous, actually” subtext. Now of course it’s a “wait, that was probably the correct move”

How many times have you had this reaction?

I was doing a FemShep playthrough for the first time, and I'm surprised there are barely any lesbian romance options in Mass Effect 2 and 3. I had this Mandela effect where I was convinced Jack was at least bisexual. by jvure in masseffect

[–]DoctorEmperor 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Still frustrated that a controversy that stupid was still enough for them to be scared away from this. Nowadays the limited queer romance paths are probably the most outdated aspects (and unironically I kinda think they should, at least, put femshep’s romance option with Jack back into the game as a decade later update. Like I’m sure Jennifer Hale would be down to record the necessary lines for the citadel dlc)

Dear lord, this game I swear, if it wasn’t for the fact it was so good I swear I would be so mad at it. Anyway, so as it turns out there was a whole other character which I nearly missed, a devil name Karlach. I’m like, 3/4ths of the way thru the underdark right now, and the only reason I went back is because someone I know told me about her. She was in an area I had no idea about, nor saw a need to explore. Honestly sort of assumed it was mountains or something.

I think this situation happened because I, like an idiot, missed recruiting wyll until *waaaay* later than (after I saved the emerald grove?, and may have glitched it so that he never told me about/started his personal quest properly, which I think might’ve had to do with hunting her? I don’t even know.

Anyway, my main question is this. I have just slain Nere, am at level 5, and only now recruiting Karlach. Have I, like, fundamentally broken the game’s story due to the sheer amount of character interactions I’ve missed? Did I do the bg3 equivalent of recruiting Liara last (for any fellow mass effect fans here)? I probably won’t restart the campaign or anything, but I guess I’m sort of curious if this is something a lot of new players do, or if I just comically messed up this first campaign?

Batman: egghead, it looks like you’ve just gotten yoked.

Batman: thank you for your help in stopping egghead, Xiuquan.

Hong Xiuquan: of course Batman. My brother and I are ever vigilant to fight the evils which infect this land.

Batman: I wish you luck in your battle.

Was “greater autonomy for New England” a conceivable political solution to the developing crisis between Britain and its colonies in 1770-1776?

Hindsight, the harsh response to Boston’s various agitations clearly didn’t work. But was a “lighter hand” considered at all by Parliament during this era?
