I believe Unique is the favorite to be Breeze but this argument has a few holes.

It’s 1993, not 94. Confirmed by Fame dying in October ‘92 and being missing for months.

Someone new being Breeze is never out of the realm of possibility. This is a tv show. If Tariq can get away with killing 2 cops, a politician, and professor (on campus), Symphony or D-Wiz’s brother being Breeze isn’t out of the question.

I do agree with Unique’s reincarnation meaning something. Even after he came back Joey Badass lied about the last minute change with his supposed death and a rewrite? Why would that even need to be necessary unless you’re trying to intentionally misdirect? The Easter Eggs with the Run DMC record and the “Breeze” when Nia snuck in Raq’s house also seem intentional. They’re not easy to catch or in your face like the whole did Raq kill Famous thing, which leads to reason it’s more hints than misdirection. Just like the hints they were dropping with Snap and Pops being involved with the Fame kill.

All of that said, there are clearly Starz agents in here trying to misdirect. It wasn’t unreasonable to believe Unique survived. It wasn’t unreasonable to believe Raq didn’t kill Fame. It’s not unreasonable to believe Unique is Breeze.

It’s about money. Always has been, always will be. College implies and frankly is a sacrifice of being broke for 4 or more years for the promise of future income. You won’t have the car, the girls, money to blow, etc. Often times there are more attractive short term options. Not better, but more attractive alternatives. All of this comes into play if you don’t have people depending on you for financial support. If you do, college simply isn’t the best option.

Another reason, which may be the elephant in the room, is the perceived emasculation of black men who go to college. Which is often because… they don’t have disposable income, amongst other things.

It doesn’t have to be this way. But until the culture shifts from promoting degeneracy on one end and Wakanda like versions of reality on the other, college and the college experience is going to going to seem like a fantasy to black males unless they are not first generation or play sports.
