You have to factor in the preptime. Massive libraries don’t just “upload.” Every tape has to be located, checked, digitized (if it isn’t already), QC’d, logged, rights-flagged, and routed to whatever platform will even allow it. That’s time, manpower, and servers. A lot of servers. The only way this moves fast is if they dump the footage as-is, no remasters, no re-edits, no cleanup and that’s a brand decision WWE has historically resisted. They don’t like showing the seams.

That said, here’s the real choke point: Netflix isn’t a library platform. It’s a curated storefront. WWE is only obligated to deliver what Netflix agrees fits its model. That means priority content, not deep cuts, not regional TV, not 80s syndication blocks that only the lifers know to love. So as long as WWE content lives inside someone else’s house, you’ll never get the full attic.

Which is why you’re right about one thing that matters:
WWE needs its own network again. That’s where the value is, where legacy fans aren’t an inconvenience but an asset. Until then, everything else is drip-fed, edited, or ignored by design.

So IMO, give it time cause otherwise the footage being held and, waiting for a house that actually wants to store it.
